Okay I don\'t sign this petition, first of all why does it matter if they don\'t sound like \"real\" punk bands, they can play how they want. Second of all half of these people signing this petition don\'t know **** about music. For instance: Weston Jahn stated that pop punk shouldn\'t be real because it\'s like making death metal rap. Let me recall that Anthrax did a song with Public Enemy. Lil Jon did a song with Korn, and so on. Second of all half those bands people keep listing as real punk were made many years before Blink 182. So of course a band made many years after them are going to have a different sound.

I support this petition. pop music is the proverbial poison in the well. it takes away exposure from real musicians whether it be rock, hip hop, soul, etc. bands like blink should be wiped clean off the f-ing planet. just because their music is catchy does not make it good. pop music is an indication that corporate america has a hold on music; something thought to be pure and not to be messed with. here's a finger to blink and pop music.
