Unbelieveable. Yet another company joining the ranks of the many companies today that seem to be *against* their own customers. It makes no sense to shut out, ignore, and turn away those that are *willing to buy your product!*
creative is part of america generating new income by screw everyone in the world. slave labor is not good enough. lawyers threaten from children to grandmothers and it is the american corporation which bribes elected officials that make it clear.daniel_k is a hero.
It used to be that whenever I built a computer, I put a Creative sound card in it. Now, with multi-channel audio built into every motherboard it's not needed for a general-purpose PC. And with high-quality external sound interfaces available from companies like M-Audio, a Creative card is not necessary for recording either. It seems surprising that a company in a dwindling market faced with serious competition would decide to alienate so many of their remaining customers. I for one will be avoiding their products in the future.
Creative needs to go away and leave room for a better soundcard manufacturer. Audigy drivers have been developed like an unloved bastard child, with NO CARE.
Nice one Creative. I run a small independent 24 track recording studio. With Audigy's in 4 of my pc's for midi/recording etc. I HAD been contemplating a switch to Vista, as well as upgrading all soundcards, not only have you lost a customer who has been with you since the Soundblaster Live was released, you have also lost Microsoft an upgrade to Vista, as I certainly don't trust this platform if you, as a big multinational can't be arsed to update your drivers, makes me think other co. could be up to the same tactics (make us buy cards we don't need for features we already have). Bye creative.... Sack your VP, imho he's barely qualified to sit on a customer helpdesk let alone be VP of Communications
Creative - you've been promising Linux drivers for five years now, and nothing with an Emu chip is even 50% supported to date. This Vista crap is just an extra two tons of dirt on the coffin for me.Bye Creative.P.S. - I won't be buying any more of your MP3 players either, just because of the horrible customer relationship you've developed with me over Linux.
Wow...I've rarely seen a company do something so blatantly at odds with their customer base. I work at Best Buy and will steer customers away from Creative products until big tough Mr. VP gets fired. I like how he smugly put his title on the post. VP of corporate communications huh? We the consumer should wipe the smugness of his face!
Back in the 90's the ISA cards worked as advertised, now my X-Fi has yet to have a working driver. Suggest management do a reshuffling and get to work on cross platform GPL drivers pronto.
I have a lot of great creative products. The only problem is that I couldn't get drivers for my sound card on Vista. I finally found some on the Creative UK site, but they still fail often and crash my machine sometimes. Creative needs to shape up!
Creative Labs has shown themselves to be both incompetent and greedy. In the computer business you can get away with one, but not both. Phil O'Shaughnessy needs to lose his job.
I have been a long time customer with 7-10 sound cars in my personal collect and 20-30 in machines that I've built or worked on for people. I hope my minor contribution to the boycott and my recommendations against Creative Labs from this point will quicken their demise. I mean a bankrupt Creative Labs with no driver support is the same as one without driver support and still selling products right?
What a shame ! Someone helps you do something you can't (won't) do and you blast them. Good thing I read this morning as I need a new audio card for my HTPC.
And I was about to recommend that a friend buy Creative. Why would you sell somethiing without having it work on contemporary OS, then punish someone who made your lies into truth?
I hope this will be the death of Creative. Danial_K was helping make your shit products work better while increasing your customer loyalty. Thanks to your shit head VP you now have neither. Where did you find such a Jackass. Fire him and get show us you give a shit about your customers.
I can't install the drivers from their website because I no longer can find the original drivers cd from 1995.... WTF IS UP WITH THAT! You lost me as a customer 4 years ago and lost my recommendation to others about your product. I won't ever buy creative products or anything that is branded with any creative technologies, not even the auzentech prelude.
I didn't know your drivers suck until today that I learned about Daniel_K.I was about to buy a sound card for my Intel DG965 MOBO but I will go for Asus or Turtle Beach instead.Too bad you can't serve your customers as it should be. Really, it's a shame what you've done.Alfredo Luna
Sux work creative, remenber user of the inspire 5700, we can use 5.1 on games and other aplications because creative have brillant idea, disable from Xfi . down creative, gone with your money
I'm glad to see that Newegg is pulling Creative's cards of their site.GOOD!! Hit them where it hurts! Creative's driver support has always SUCKED. nothing has changed in six years.Looking forward to seeing Creative go OUT OF BUSINESS!
Creative wont see a peny of my money ever again, not until they turn 180 degrees and promise to make drivers that fix all the known issues and stop purposely breaking them to make us upgrade. Currently Creative is nothing more than an EVIL company hell bent to take your money. My creative devices have been destroyed.
