You should resign for pretending too be a fair and balanced journalist when you are not. You lied about FDR's "support" of private accounts. You are nothing but a shill for the White House. Resign like Jeff Gannon had the integrity to resign.

Brit Hume deliberately distorted FDR's words to advance the White House political agenda. He has an obligation to tell the truth while reporting and his actions show blatant disrespect for his audience. Mr. Hume has revealed himself as a GOP operative and should step down from Fox News and be shunned by all ethical journalists.
If you are going to quote someone use the whole quote or none at all. If you have any journalistic integrity at all you will admit your mistake and resign.
If FOX aspires to no better standards for journalistic integrity and independence than those espoused by Pravda, they're doing just fine. Brit Hume owes his viewers a very public apology for his attempt to manipulate public opinion by means of distortion of the historical record.

If Mr. Hume's fondest wish is to be a spokesman for the Republican party he should resign from his job as a newscaster and follow his bliss. Otherwise, he should at least try to adhere to standards of journalistic integrity.

Hume has deliberately twisted, and misstated, FDR's words. If he has any sense of morality at all, he must at least make a retraction, and explain why he was so wrong.

This is not a reporter being fooled by fabricated documents. This is not an accidental misquotation. This is a reporter intentionally falsifying a quotation for political reasons. He must resign. Must.
FoxNews has recently shown up on Canadian Television and I cannot believe that this man is the one you choose to represent your network not only at home but in foreign countries where this type of "journalism" is as transparent as glass. I will not watch as long as this man presents the news.

Just read his columns on FoxNews.com, they constantly pretend to be reporting facts just as facts - but they actually work very hard to always hold a conservative contention.
The longer Brit Hume is allowed to stay on at Fox, the more irrelevant and rediculous FOX becomes. I don't mind opinions that I don't agree with, but to intentionally re-arrange someone's words to make it seem they said the opposite of what they were intending is downright fraudulent. FOX must let Brit go!
