Our airwaves are not owned by the Republicans. Someone who claims to be a reporter of the news must not lie to help them. MOreover they must be punished.
If Fox News wants any journalistic credibility, they need to fire Brit Hume now. Oh, that's right. Fox neither has nor wants any credibility, and no real journalist would stoop to work for Fox.
You'd think the dummies at CNN or MSNBC would take this opportunity to screw Fox News and publicize Britt's massive journalistic ethical lapses. We certainly know that Fox wouldn'y hesittate to exploit an opening like this.
So, people from MSNBC and CNN, if you won't go aftyer Hume because it's the right thing to do to protect what little vestiges of honest jornalism still remains in cable news...do it because it will screw fox, increase your ratings and make your advertisers and investors more money.

I worked in television news for 5 years and in broadcasting for 20, so Hume's disgusting approach to journalism offends me on many levels. I remember my first journalism class at Iowa, years ago. Objectivity and ethics were the very first topics discussed. It is at the core of what is journalist is and does. Hume is no journalist, he's a propaganda tool for Fox News, no different than Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. He just has an anchor desk to lie to us through...
Why would you lie to the american people about this, oops i forgot who you work for. I feel bad that you must bend over so much for your job. Is it worth it?

Dear Britt Don't you think its time to look into the mirror and ask yourself how you could sink so low. Is the money that your being paid by your corperate masters to hoodwink the working people of the U.S. intohaving their retirement income stolen from them really worth it? I don't know your backround but you are smart enough to know that your selling a scam. Why don't you do the country and yourself a favor and take your airtime to apolgise and blow the roof of this cancer off the American people known as "Fox News"
America is not going to take it anymore! We are sick and tired of media lies! Brit Hume is a disgrace to what used to be an honorable profession. Apparently he has joined the ranks of an older profession.
I have read FDR's message to Congress, and there is no way his remarks could be distorted in the way you did, except to purposly mislead viewers.
You should eithe apologize or resign.
If not Fox should demand your resignation or fire you.
This is what our news reportage has come to? Lying to support a partisan agenda? We used to be able to count on the Fourth Estate to hold the politicians feet to the fire. No more apparently.
In a time of pathetic journalistic actions, this might just take the cake. This was not an error made in haste, but a deliberate lie. Hume should resign.
