The activist courts may have let the news media lie, but good journalism still requires it not to do so. If Fox News is really a news outlet and not a propaganda arm the only honorable thing to do is to fire Brit Hume. Oh, wait. I forgot...
Lying is wrong; isn't that a value all American's should adhere to? Or is it a value Republicans espouse, but do not practice? Brit Hume should be fired, but that is not going to happen at Fox; therefore, he should be forced to resign through the demand of those of us who do value truth and honesty.
Step down now Mr Hume. You have abandoned all the principals that are the foundations of journalism. Instead you have taken on the mantle of propagandist.
It comes as no surprize that Hume should feel comfortable lying, this country's leadership has adopted lying as S.O.P. Why wouldn't Hume follow course?
Responsible journalism is a pillar of democracy. The propaganda generated by FOX supports fascism. Brit Hume is the main perpetrator of this base infotainment.
I think Hume is a poor excuse for a journalist. Journalist used to be after real news not just pandering to the Bush adminatration trying to ligitimize it. He really needs to be removed. But then almost all of the mainstream media is just as culpable these days. They are not journalists. They are simply government propagandists!!!
It is unfathomable to expect a good result from cutting Social Security Funds into little pieces, handing them to individual citizens, and then forcing them to invest in government mandated retirement accounts. What is even more appalling is that a lunatic like Brit Hume would claim support from the dead leader that founded and created the system in the first place. Social Security is a safety net for Americans away from the fire of a volatile market. FDR would not have supported privatizing Social Security.

I can't believe this allowed. I don't care how slanted you are towards any party. To so blatantly distort what someone has said is a total outrage. Doesn't anyone care about America anymore or are we just content on letting obvious liars and criminals and inept fools take over our great nation and run it into the ground??
How can Fox call itself fair and balance when they allow people, like Brit, to twist words to make them say anything but what the person who spoke the words meant them to say? If this was CBS and his name was Dan, he would of been gone yesterday.
Although, it isn't a state secret how right-wing Fox News is, I've come to expect a slanted reading (not to mention the commentaries) from the network.
But an outright lie is net acceptable and should be addressed. Hume should be asked to resign. If not for the obvious reason, but then at least for P.R reasons.
Journalists who are caught fabricating stories resign. It happened at the New York Times, it happens all the time. You were caught lying. You have no credibility anymore. You must step down.
How can you live with yourself? Even if you spew lies to the public I assume you at least know the truth so you know what to twist, so how do you supress any semblance of decency and integrity while keeping a straight face?
We not only know you lied, we know that you knew you were lying. And it isn't the first time. You do it all the time. Only now we're watching and we won't put up with it anymore.
You disgrace professional journalists with your continuing masquerade as a newsman. Spare the actual journalists further embarassment and go away like your compatriot James Guckert. Perhaps he can give you tips on a career in internet prostitution, an natural transition for you.
