This is not the first time he has distorted the issues. He compared the # of troop deaths in Iraq to the # of killings in California. In addition, he said former national security advisor was "not credible" but that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were credible for no explanation.
Its sad that long-time correspondents like him and Bill O'Reilly sold out their journalistic integrity to become
partisan hacks for the big bucks. He is one of the many reasons people tune into John Stewarts "fake news" program.
I am extremely disappointed in Brit Hume. He has been one of my favorites for years but to hear him deliberately misrepresent FDR's words is too much for me. If he refuses to publicly correct what he said then he should resign.
To have sold out your integrity and humanity, what a shame. Such an act will carry severe moral consequences due to the number of lives it will affect.

With all the concern about journalistic integrity in the zeitgeist surrounding Jason Blair, Dan Rather, et al. it seems that, often Hume's offensives are as great as Blair's and worse than Rather's.
Brit, the quality of journalism in this country would have been significantly improved if you had gone straight from high school to a more suitable occupation, such as crack whore.

Brit Hume should be fired for twisting FDR's remarks about the greatest program ever, Social Security. Fox News is nothing but a propoganda machine for Bush. I want my country back!
As improbable as it may seem, Hume has lowered the already unbelievably low standards for Faux Republic Propaganda Services. Selectively rearranging FDR's words in order to promote a partisan Republic agenda seems to be what passes for news in the conservative infotainment world.
I would suggest that Hume should be ashamed of himself, but he has already shown he has no conscience to begin with. He should be hounded mercilessly until he has owhere to turn without being reminded of his lack of ethical standards.

Don't stop at Hume, I want all of these partisan hacks job's terminated immediately...since when is it acceptable to openly lie day in and day out and recieve pay and recognition for doing so.
