This Musical is too good to be confined to DVD and clips of screens on youtube. Please quickly resolve the issues that keep this great experience from growing.
Sing-Along screenings seem to be all the rage lately: The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music and most recently Grease have been shown in theaters across the country to record crowds, I was overjoyed to discover that Joss Whedon’s masterpiece musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was soon to receive the same treatment. Watching Once More With Feeling on a large screen surrounded by fellow Buffy aficionados while singing our favorite songs from our favorite episode, was an event I was greatly anticipating, and I was extremely saddened to learn that Fox and Criterion Pictures pulled the theatrical exhibition rights. I sign this petition in hopes that Fox and Criterion Pictures will reach an expedient resolution to the issues that resulted in the show’s cancellation and will grant the fans of St. Louis, MO an opportunity to watch their beloved show in a great venue!
PLEEEEEEAAAAASE let us watch Buffy on the big screen! We loyal fans... you barely need to give us a reason to convene. I would love to have a big Buffy Bash, hanging out with my fellow fans, beltin' out lyrics in a theatre. I would be forever grateful!
Please bring the Buffy Musical back to the big screen! I have attended every one in Tucson so far, and look forward to many more! Let us keep love for Buffy alive in Tucson, and celebrate it in style!
Please, oh please, don't take Buffy away from us. I have attended two screenings and check the schedule regularly to see if it will come my way again. I own the Chosen Collection, but viewing the show in a setting with like-minded people has been a phenomenal experience. Please bring Buffy back from the dead - one more time!
Buffy and all of the Whedonverse is such an important part of pop culture today and should be allowed to be seen by anyone and everyone. Joss' work should be used and studied by film and tv writer's as examples for how a successful and entertaining show is made. Networks should be begging Mr. Whedon to create new shows for them. Please bring back the Buffy Sing-A-Long, and allow new fans in to the world the is Joss Whedon!!!
Buffy brings people together. Anyone who sees this production and doesn't already have the DVD set is going to go buy it. This is helping to advertise for Buffy, if nothing else. It's keeping Buffy alive.
I s aw the musical (twice) in DFW. It was excellent. I would glad kick a few extra dollars back to Fox/Criterion to help them pay those huge residual checks.
I lived for The Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show and now that it's over, this is one of the only ways that Buffy fanatics can get together and celebrate the genius that was that show! It would be a travesty to not have that outlet anymore! I would love for Fox to allow the Sing Alongs to continue. I feel that it is becoming increasing more and more popular and I definitely see it becoming as big of a community as the Rocky Horror Picture Show showings! Please re-sonsider! Allowing theatrical productions of shows just increases loyalty for Fox shows -- so could someone please, please just work out the legal kinks? Please?
PLEASE allow them to continue! I haven't been able to see it yet, and my husband and I are dieing to go. Don't be the bad guy here! Get the legal stuff worked out so we can enjoy the BEST episode of Buffy on the big screen!
I saw the live show for the first (and hopefully not last) time just last month in NYC. It was sooo much fun and I was so looking foward to going to the Halloween show. WHY FOX? Please bring it back! Soon!
I was truly looking forward to working on getting this to come to Orlando. It is my single favorite TV episode of all time, one which I break out the DVD and watch at least once a season. To experience it in a theater settign with other fans would be fantastic, so i hope that you will find a way to give me that chance. Don't deny fans their beloved shows. Pulling these screenings only hurts everybody. I am a huge fan of Buffy myself and the sing-a-long was an event that I looked forward to very much. On behalf of myself and all the other fans out there please give us our screenings back.
