ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?! WHY STOP SOMETHING THIS GREAT THAT WILL RENEW INTEREST IN YOUR SHOW!!! IT WOULD ABSOLUTELY BE A VENUE TO ATTRACT MORE PEOPLE TO BUY BUFFY!!!!
Buffy sing-along never did anything to hurt anybody! In fact, if anything, it's brought people together who have a common bond. Is that SOOO wrong??? Let the Buffy sing-along live! Please.
There is no reason for FOX to take this away from the fans. You'd think FOX would want fans to continue enjoying something they own, but perhaps they're not making enough money at it.
Opportunities to keep interest in a show alive and well can only help with rerun viewings and with dvd sales. Why would anyone think this is a bad thing????
Once More With Feeling needs to be on Broadway! But in the meantime, Fox needs to realize that sing-alongs build up the momentum about what great music this is!
Whether or not it's legal, what FOX is doing is alienating the true fans who will continue to support the Buffy franchise, and in turn, support thier profits (especially since the more the fans are able to hold viewings, the more people who haven't watched Buffy, will watch, and make DVD purchases).
I understand protecting legal interests, but certainly there is a certain sense of humor and goodwill, even in a company. These fans? Are the loyal ones who buy your merchandise, and invest their time and money into your future products. It would seem a good business decision to bring the musical back.
Saw the musical down in the Village this winter, and it was an incredible experience. It does nothing but support and promote the wonders of the Buffy-verse, and Fox is foolish and crazy (big surprise there) in attacking people celebrating their 'product'
Please, FOX, reconsider and allow this amazing screening event to continue. We would hope that you could make an exception to your rule, especially since all it's doing is keeping the Buffy love alive in the hearts of it's fans, which is ultimately good for FOX too.
I only became aware of this screening after it had come to my town twice already. But I was really looking forward to it coming 'round again so I could go and watch my favorite episode on a big screen with others who love it as much as I. I hope that Fox's cease and desist will prove only temporary, and that whatever issues need to be resolved are settled soon.
My four sistes and I have been watching Buffy since it began. We saw the musical at the Riverview Theater in Mpls this past summer and are hoping (praying) it'll come back! We love Buffy, must have buffy, Via La Buffy!
When I heard about this show, it was the highlight of my year! How very disappointing....let alone how exciting the costume part of the event was going to be....
Please allow showings of this exceptionally good and entertaining episode. I had so much fun at the singalong and would go again and again to see it. Thank you.
