It was so much fun attending this in San Francisco. The sing-along undoubtedly exposed new fans to the show, and now they're rushing out to buy DVDs! Fox, please don't do this.
This was my favorite musical ever. I've attended a Wizard of Oz sing-along, so I don't understand the problem. Anyway, I'd love to see house parties with musicians and singers playing and singing along, with or without the video.
The Buffy sing-a-long reignited my love for this property. I believe it does a service for the property and it's fanbase. Relicensing the musical for use in the theater would be doing a great service to yourselves and your audience.
This really stinks - I just introduced my 13 year old daughter to Buffy over the summer and she lovedit! SHe watched all 7 seasons and is back though to season 5. We were vey much looking forwad to takinga roadtrip and seeing thisin Columbus on the 27th. Please Fox work this out somehow!
Give me a break, you've stopped showing my wake up re-runs at 6 a.m., now what else have I to look forward to? Don't be so petty as to spoil the ongoing support and joy from an incredibly loyal bunch of customers! Fox, your brand name is tarnished for me now when you could just as easily have chosen to enhance your name by recognising the love for a much missed show. Why would you let your sad little lawyer-suits do this in your name, or are they Wolfram and Hart really - is this their insidiously clever game. I've bought all the videos, books, what more do you want other than my luscious blood?
OK, I've not seen the show on stage because it isn't shown in my city, but if it were, I would be there every weekend. I would volunteer to be on stage, I would make a fool out of myself to do it. Whjy such a special thing has been cancelled is beyond me. Studio execs - you suck.
Buffy is a huge part of my life, and is very important to me. The musical was simply amazing. The Buffy - sing-along was a memorial experience I will never forget. Please don't take it away. It's all we have left. I need it to stay going! (and when it does, please come back to Milwaukee) I can't even describe how sad I am right now. Please bring it back!
I've had my fingers crossed that this wonderful sing-a-long would make it's way to my city so I could enjoy it along with all the other fans in my area. Please give us the chance to show our appreciation for one of the all time greatest TV shows!
The Sing-a-Long was an amazing way for fans to celebrate one of the best shows in TV History. Where else could you find others with such strong passion and enjoy that sense of camaraderie without any sense of awkwardness or embarrassment. To take it away would be one of the greatest wrongs ever done to fans.
Buffy is what made me get up in the mornings, and when I'm having a bad day, I put in the DVDs. Once More With Feeling is one of my favorite (and a TON of other people's, too) episodes.
PLEASE bring back the Buffy Musical to the big screen.
So very sad. I hope you folks can find a way to bring OMWF back to the big screen. I had a dozen people primed and ready to go the next time it came to our town.
Sad, sad news. If people have the desire to express the desire to appreciate, please let them. I fear that rather than unite the fans in praise of the show, it may unite us in another way. For example: this.
I love Buffy and have enjoyed the run of the series at my local theater. I've made friends taking acquaintances to shows and finding that we have a love of kick-ass female heroes in common. We were just getting ready for a new run, please don't take this away! It's a lot of fun and I'd miss it terribly. Also, just pointing out that screenings of Buffy, Firefly or Angel, whet viewers appetites for more shows or movies from Joss. This could contribute viewers to new projects as the love of these cult shows spread.
Please show your loyalty to us by going above and beyond, if that is necessary, to help with licensing issues. You have more than enough muscle to help make this happen. Please don't disappoint the fans. Keep in mind, these very people are the loyal viewers of your network and of Buffy that were so bummed when the show was canceled. Please rise to the occasion and show us that your network is about the fans.
Buffy Sing-A-Long nights are clear evidence of the changing media opportunities of a 21st century world. Episodes directed by Joss Whedon brim with the same big screen artfulness as the best working directors today. I invite the daring young bean counters at Fox to join us for a midnight screening sometime. Beautiful images and beautiful sounds shared with a group of like-minded people. This is what going to the movies is all about.Fox Television produces numerous properties ripe for replay at the local theater -- The new Futurama movies, The Star Wars: Clone Wars mini-series, as well as Firefly, Angel and 24. Rather than pulling the plug and appearing out of touch, this is an opportunity to be leaders in new media and new outlets for your entertainments -- while working hand-and-hand with the fans themselves who volunteer to help stage these events. Don't miss out. Bring us back. Once more... with feeling.
I love the idea!!! Once more with feeling is my favorite episode!!! I do have the entire series on DVD so I can enjoy it anytime! I hope we can bring Buffy back to the BIG SCREEN for all to enjoy!!!!
Where else are they going to show it? Why not let the fans see it, if it's just going to sit in some vault. Give them their cut and make them go away, damn moneygrubbers, they didn't value it this much when it was on or they wouldn't have canceled it.
I would love the opportunity to see this. Please allow events such as these to continue. It is rare that something goes on that people of all ages can enjoy.
