Please bring this back. I am sure that something can be worked out so that everyone is happy. I admit that this is an unusual situation, but Buffy fans are an unusual breed.
I am very saddened by the news of what's happening with the studio. I understand, if someone that had no involvement with producing the episode is make profit from the sing alongs, that is not right. But, the studio should have worked out an alternative for the fans of this beloved series. Every true fan has been burned by this turn of events. I look forward to the day that I will once again participate in the big screen sing along!!! It will happen and I will be ready to sing!!!!!
The absurdity of corporate America has reached an all-time low with this one. We're sorry we enjoy your work FOX, we'll try not to make it a habit in the future. I'm sure there are other studios that enjoy fan appreciation and product support.
I saw the show at the LA Film Festival. This is the best episode of the best show ever aired on T.V.. It was a wonderful, affordable experience for all ages. It is a tribute to how much this show is loved that the fans put on this musical review. And, by the way, it is GREED that stopped it. Shame on you FOX !!!!!! Some greedy people figured out that it was popular and now want to capitalize on it. My mother worked for FOX for 20 years and she would roll over in her grave if she heard about this crap. Bring it back.
Buffy is no longer on TV, so we need to have the Buffy Musical back. It keeps up interested in Buffy where more people will buy the videos to watch more of it by buying the differerent seasons. Please bring it back.
I attended a buffy musical showing in Seattle. It was one of the most fun events I've ever attended. The theatre was full of Buffy fans of all ages and backgrounds, all enjoying their common bond in the love of the show. What could possibly be wrong with this? It's an easy and unique way to build your audience of Buffy fans (who, it must be said, buy plenty of BtVS DVDs and merchandise).
We saw a screening in Chicago and were looking forward to its return. I can't believe FOX would be so short-sighted as to kill the potential revenue of a modern-day Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Although I have not had the opportunity to catch the show yet I would very much like too. Events like this have prompted me to purchase all 7 seasons of BTVS and 5 Seasons of Angel.
Several of my friends have seen this show all over the country and I was very much looking forward to having the same great experience they spoke of. I had actually hoped that with the re-invigoration of the show's popularity with the current comic that the musical showings might be expanded to other areas of the country, specifically, one nearer to me. I'm very sad to hear that these shows have been discontinued and can only hope that whatever issued there are get sorted out soon so the legions of Buffy fans can get back to enjoying their favorite show on the big screen.
I was planning on going to one as soon as the show was brought to a city near where I live. OMWF is a fantastic episode of Buffy. Please allow the fans to relive it through the theatre.
