I'm sure it seems like small potatoes to those of you in the executive positions, but those of us who love the show and have resorted to throwing things at people who tried to interrupt the viewing of the show at home are really really sad that we can't see this on the big screen. People come in costume and we pay to see a show that we very likely already have on DVD. Not every show gets this kind of fan following, and by taking this from us, you're telling us that despite our enthusiasm, you're not particularly interested in anything we have to say. If you can bring Family Guy back, you can work out Buffy the Musical. Thank you
They need to sort out the legalities of this and then get it back on track. I've been to a few of these, and they're fun as hell. It's very clear that fan are clammoring for MORE BUFFY!
This show has been a huge part of my life, and being able to participate in the Live Action Buffy Musical has led to making some incredible friends and feeling like I'm a part of something. Please bring it back.
c'mon. This is pure fun and it's good for everyone for Buffy to get publicity (which can only stimulate DVD sales and make more money for the ridiculous SAG union.)
On the petition, it states there has been no evidence of greed on the part of Buffy's owning corps. Obviously! Be greedy, I say! You folks own a show that has risen to a cult status comparable to that of Star Trek. You have a cash cow, here. To not milk it would be asinine. Bring the Buffy Musical (and all of the other Buffy goodness) back please!
Come on guys and let people have their fun. It's bad enough you canceled the show (and anything else Joss Whedon did for TV - Angel and Firefly) but now you want to cancel a cult classic? Figure a way around your legal loopholes for more moola and let the fans have their fun!
Arrrghhhh! Fox, for all the joy your network and programming has brought me throughout the last 26 years, you have just placed upon me a true sadness. I mean, really, come on. Wouldn't the viewings help produce sells of your highly overpriced DVD's? I think Lars Ulrich is probably in cahoots with this somehow. BTW, that was a joke.
Bring it back and bring it to Phoenix! My friends tried to mount the Buffy musical as an actual production with full backing from Joss and Fox too, pulled the plug. Why does it always have to be about money? Just let the show live out it's life with the people who love it.
Leaving in France I was one more time very envious and eager to return to the states because of things like the sing along existing. I was so hoping to make my next trip match one of the representation of it. This is really a shame. Those are the ways to keep cult shows alive. Really a pity.
Yes, I want them back. Bring them back. Boo to the big corporations putting fun things on hold just so they can figure out how to get their greedy little fingers in the pie. Let it go!
I understand the issues about residuals, etc. that may arise from showing a television show in a movie theater, but please work quickly to resolve the controversy. Buffy fans shouldn't suffer! We need the sing-along!! It is an absolutely magical event that everyone should be able to enjoy.
