A budget proposal was brought up at the District meeting tuesday May 27 about cutting the college and career center


We The Student Body believe that Mrs. Hawkins Of the CCC (College and Career Center) is a valuable asset. We agree that the College and Career center should not be shut down due to the success of students that use the center.

Applying to schools would be difficult without the CCC. It\'s kind of a must for a high school since everyone really only cares about getting into college.

If it was not for Mrs. Hawkins in the College and Career Center, I would not have received A LOT of vital information on college dates, etc. and opportunities for scholarships. It\'s crazy that they would cut this program before many others. KEEP MRS. HAWKINS AND THE CCC AT AHS!!!!!!

Agoura High Schoolwithout Jean Hawkinsin the CCC is unimaginable. I would plea with Admin. to reconsiderthis option. I would hate to have to deal with dissatisfied parentsnext year without the level of expertise and dedication to your students that Jean brings. Please please please reconsider this .. you will not be happy campers.

We moved into the neighborhood so that our children could attend great public schools which would afford them the opportunity of getting into a good college. It would be devastating if the College and Career Center was not available to help children navigate their way through the complicated, and sometimes intimidating application process. We feel this is an invaluable asset to the students and urge you to please reconsider.

Mrs Hawkins and the College and Career Cousiling office, Is pretty much the saving grace for all students who expect to have a life outside of High School, if anything should be dismissed from school it should be Drama.
