I must say that I am becoming more and more disappointed in CSI with each new episode. This show had started out as an ENSEMBLE show with everyone getting their fair share of screen time (except of William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger, who are the "stars" of the show). It is this sharing of screen time which had made this show such a big hit. However, it now feels like CSI has become "The Catherine Willows Show". Yes, Catherine Willows has issues, we get it! Move on! This show has gotten to the point where Catherine Willows is taking child-rearing advice from Gil Grissom for crying out loud! There are other characters on this show and I, for one, would like to know more about their past. At this point, even Greg has much more screen time than George Eads and I just find that appalling. If Nick Stokes does not start getting more air time, you'll be losing me as a viewer because I would rather watch "The Apprentice" on NBC than CSI on CBS if George Eads gets more time in the opening credits than the entire episode.
CSI supposedly features an ensemble cast. Lately, however, it seems to be an ensemble cast minus one--Nick. The minor techs get as much or more screen time than Nicky does. George Eads is a wonderful actor, and Nick is a wonderful character. Give them a chance to shine.
we want more storylines concerning nick stokes and enough of catherine willows. this is an ensemble show and should reflect that in each and every episode. george eads is a good actor and the nick stokes character is one with much potential. he's not just a former frat boy turned csi. give this guy a break and let him do what he's paid to do.
I loved the first two seasons and the way that each character seemed to have their own lives and still solve the case. I would like to see the show go into Warrick and Nick's lives more though. I do like learning more about the others, but lately it seems that Nick and Warrick are taking a backseat. Please add more insight into the lives of the characters.
CSI did so well in the first two seasons by giving story lines to all of its characters (Brass even had a whole episode about his daughter!). It seems like the new episodes are either about the case or Gil and Sara or Catherine and her issues. That's fine and dandy, but there are other characters on the show! Nick had some great potential - a skirt chasing, fun guy with a troubled past. I mean, after the stalker episode it was like the writers forgot he had a life anymore. We are sick and tired of just seeing case after case after case. Let's go behind the scenes a bit more and see the personal lives on these characters (and espcecially Nick!).
I think the character of Nick Stokes is very under used. George Eads is a wonderful actor and should be used more. The shows that have more of Nick in them I find are more emotionally satistvifing.
No one can replace George on the show. NO ONE! i've talked with several people that told me that they would quit watching the show if George was fired. they said that he holds the show together. and i agree. the show isn't the same without george. and i noticed that though the shows have been good lately it's not the best. and it's because george/nick isn't in the episodes near enough.
I have noticed both Sara Sidle and George Eads have become shadows basically...where did they go?! Whats going on with the screen time!! JEEZ! BRING THEM BOTH BACK INTO THE LIGHT!

the character-Nick is one of the most interesting ones in CSI. He's much deeper than some of the other characters *coughwarrickcough* and seemes most genuine. It's a shame we don't see him as often as we used to.
I love george he's the only reason I watch CSI, we have S4 here in oz at the moment and from what I have been reading lately I don't know if I can be bothered with next season.
Why bother giving us such a strong brilliant character if they are not going to use him? Ms Mendelsohn listen to the fans they are the one's that can eventually make or break you can you really take the risk?
I love George Eads. I think he is an awesome actor with tremendous talent. I don't like how the character of Nick Stokes has been basically tossed to the backburner this season, obviously a result of the recent contract disputes and misunderstandings..,pleas e give Nick/George the screen time he deserves. I like Nick's new hair cut, and I enjoy the few scraps he's been thrown. Character development is a good thing, however ignoring Nick in favor of others is not.

I love George's character....Nick gives us a little comic relief every now and then and sometimes with this show you need that. Give him some more stuff guys!
I am so disappointed in yet another season of CSI...not that I am watching it anymore...Donald Trump is getting my viewership now and will continue to, with The Apprentice, until you put George back in. George Eads is the man!!! i basically watch CSI just soo that i can see Nick he's the whole reason i got into the show. He is definately one of the strongest characters on CSI and it definately gets boring always seeing Warrick, Greg,and especially Catherine and Grissom all the time. please let George get more air and don't let his "firing" over the summer have any influence over how much airtime he has George Eads is a great actor!!!
We NEED George to get more screen time. Greg can't replace George-his character is just too stupid. Nick Stokes needs to take the lead and show how to REALLY lead a show!

So come on, Carol, give the man some good story lines - don't you think you've punished him long enough? What's happened? Before, he was on more though they didn't say much about him, but now ever since what happened to George and Jorja when they both got fired, he's not been on much!!! I think george's character needs more, plus he needs a love interest on the show maybe a mysteryes one, kind of like they fall in love and they start to get married and all of sudden her deceased hubsand shows up and she thought he was dead so nick and the rest of the gang diggs up the grave and its one big mystery, and the man be her hubsand or inposter. boy wouldn't that be cool.

I believe that George should feature more in CSI as he has more sex appeal to the younger women who watch CSI that someone like Grissom or Warrick. I know that I wouldn't watch CSI that much anymore of George was missing from episodes. He's also a very talented actor and deserves more screen time irrespective of what happend at the beginning of Season 5 and the firings that never were.
The whole Grissom/Sara thing is getting down right boring and Catherine just loves herself to death and features too prominently in each episode. COME ON CBS and Carol Mendelsohn (sp) get with the program and give George more screem time.
George Eads' talent is being wasted as a background filler on CSI. Why should all the other actors get so much screentime while Eads, who is an excellent actor, get so little?
Why is Grissom so forgiving over everyone's failures and short comings (Catherine blew up the lab, Warrick gambled during work hours twice, Sara was pulled over for a DUI)But if Nick does anything wrong, Grissom jumps down his throat (Interupting the interogation in "Table Stakes") He deserves way more respect than what he's getting.
Nick Stokes has the potential to be one of the greatest characters on television today, if only you give him a chance. He also brings a great sex appeal to the show that draws in the 16-30 crowd. He takes too much flack from Grissom and is being pushed aside in many episodes. Please allow the character the chance to become one of the most loved.
A viewer from Scotland, however Nick Stokes was & still is one of the best characters in CSI, yet in the last two seasons the character has been pushed to the side & the potential which is there has only been glisped at & its a VERY SAD thing to see on screen, George Eads has huge talent, his character is as much part of the show as any other if not more so, for being one of those popular & down to earth, with the heart in the right place.
George Eads, deserves more, if the power that be look back at first two seasons (what was csi at its best) the proof of what Nick gives the show is right there.
Giving an actor further abuse after coming back, is down right unfair, what about Jorja? It is ruining a show, how come friends managed to give each character there own space yet, CSI can not?
Nick is a true every man, outdoing Greg & Warrick easily for that reason, give the character his merit, for there is so much yet to be explored about the vulnerable, senitive & huge chunk of humanity that makes Nick a joy to watch, give him more screen time, more character interaction & please give this season what has been lacking for the last two - heart & that is what Nick gives by the bucket load! the writers in there heart of heart know, don't ruin one of the best & most over looked tv characters in history, by keeping this line of writing up, CSI will fall without every character & actor getting there moment & George deserves to be brought back to the fore & Nick brings such humour & charasmatic intentions its ashame its not given more air time!!! Getting lost to other less characters who have already had there slice of the cake, come on CSI you are better than this by a long way, get over it & give Nick Stokes the potential which is there for the taking, it will win viewers & hearts so I hope you at least got a little of what I'm trying to say & its half a show without any of these characters & bring back the nick grissom father/son story line the gre
I personally think that Grissom is overrated--the whole bug and stuff issues are tiresome. Further, by the time Gris has gotten any results from his very time consuming little tests, someone else has already figured out the answers in a slightly more conventional manner. No one can be all things to all people and all issues. I am also a little sick of Cat saying that she could dance anyone into a sexual tizzy even now. For God's sake, those of us over 40 no she is pushing 50, and sorry Marg but no amount of cake can cover that even in street clothes.
Basically, I think the supporting characters have more character than Cat and Gris, and should probably be developed a bit more to show that they are capable of independent thought.
The exception is, of course Sara--the producers seem to think that she is the best thing since sliced bread.

Being a man, I have a slightly different take on why I miss the character of Nick Stokes. I do not miss his smile or his swagger or his obvious good looks. What I do miss is a character that started out a bit naive, a bit gung-ho and a character that wanted to lite the world on fire. Sometimes he succeeded -sometimes he did not, but he always managed to take away a lesson out of it all, even if it meant sometimes being taken down a few pegs by Gil Grissom. We were finally rewarded sometime in the middle of season 3 with a more confident, more self-assured character that was fun to watch. A character that felt more at ease with himself and with others. A character that could handle a "DB" on his own and a character that finally allowed himself to push out of the Grissom shadow. That is what I miss about the character of Nick Stokes. I think of instead of less screentime, George Eads should be rewarded for his hard work in making a character go from his Texas-frat-boy roots to a self-assured man. Now, If I can see this -- a mere mortal -- how can TPTB not??
Please develop Nick and Warrick more!!!! I am soooo tired of hearing about how tough being a single mom is from Cath and the stripper thing is extremely played out!!! Give us something new on the other characters!

I enjoy all of the characters but I hate to see that the one character that has always stood for the viewerīs feelings is being more and more ignored. Please remember him and George Eadīs talent.
I've noticed that George and Gary get less screen time than Marg, Sara and Billy. Right now Eric is getting more time than ever. I think it's fair for an ensemble cast to get equal time on the air. So many story lines are left hanging and never mentioned again. I like all the characters and I would like to see all of them each week and given respect for their jobs as professionals. They are all CSI 3s, only some have been there a bit longer.
Nick Stokes started out as one of the most interesting characters in CSI (excepting only Gil Grissom), but in the last season or so, I have been extremely disappointed with how rarely I even see Nick, much less see his character being explored. Despite his lack of screentime last season, the writers at least started showing him as the CSI most sympathetic to the victims' families and now suddenly he's being chastised for not passing his gun qualification? Where has Nick Stokes gone, because I really haven't been seeing him.
There's so much potential with Nick's character. Yet every time the writers do something interesting (and that's woefully rare), they just drop it. Started in season 2 and has gotten worse from there. It would be wonderful to see the writers explore this character, especially since it's been stated that character development is supposed to be one of the major themes of this season. He is the soul of the team; he is it's humanity. To develop all of the other characters and let this one drop by the wayside seems to say that the longer one stays a CSI, the deeper one gets into this profession, the less human one becomes. Which may be true, but is very sad.
It is a shame that you have not used the character of Nick Stokes to its fullest potentional. George Eads is an amazing actor as proven in such episodes as Stalker and Who Are You and Nick Stokes is a wonderful character that you all have created. Please give him more screen time. Over the past two seasons it has shrinked considerably while other who had already had more than thei fair share of screen time only continued to get more.

Througout seasons 3 and 4 weīve been hoping for you to change your treatment towards the character Nick Stokes but now a few episodes into the new season it seems that you donīt.
Heīs such a wonderful character and George Eads does such a great job at portraying him. His interaction with the others, as well as his character are one of the main reasons I always enjoyed the show and I would like to keep enjoying it. Please donīt forget about him, maybe itīs not too late to involve him as an important member of the team into the current season.

I thought I was t he only one noticing how George Eads is being cut out of the show. I feel this is in retaliation for his recent no show/salary dispute with CBS. Please don't mess with a good thing. He is not the only actor in Hollywood to try to get a pay raise. He shouldn't be punished for something everyone else does. He got your point and so did the fans. He's the hottest thing going on that show, so please, let's have more shows that feature him, like "Boom" in season 1 and "Stalker" in season 2. Thanks.
Please give George Eads more screentime, he deserves it. The character of Nick Stokes is far more important than just having three scenes max per episode. I feel that since season 3 his character has been completely ignored. I know that this is not supposed to be a character driven show but since youīre exploring a character like Catherine or Sara (whom I do appreciate), Nick is being sadly reduced to a mere extra. The only times he gets to "shine" is when Grissom calls him on mistakes he has done. Sure, "11 Angry Jurors" was a very nice episode but sadly it doesnīt make up for the lack of screentime/developement during the rest of season 4 and 3. I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 much more than the followings, not only because Nick was part of the team then, but also because then there was actually a team that worked together. I feel that Iīm growing more and more frustrated with the show and it does lack the freshness it had in seasons 1 and 2. I know it must be hard to write episodes everyone is satisfied with, but it is so obvious that youīre mistreating the character of Nick Stokes that something has to be done about it.

I love the character of Nick Stokes and George Eads way of portraying him. But since season three I have to use a magnifying glass to find him in an episode. I would love to see some character development for Nick Stokes. Give George Eads something to do, he has so much talent.

It's amazing how the best characters are overlooked because of poor management on the part of the production committee of a TV show. George Eads is one of many actors who is underappreciated by his peers. I would love to see him get more air time. What makes me watch CSI from week to week is George's talent... since he's had less and less of a roll I have found myself not rushing home to watch. Yet another poor judgement call on CBS' part!
As a George Eads fan I would very much appreciate if he and his alter ego Nick Stokes could be given more screen time. One cannot help but notice the fact that George is given far less time than his costars. CSI is different things to different people but it is the chemistry within the group that helps make this show successful. If you start chipping away at one character until he/she disappears altogether the chemistry will change and you will lose a large following. Of course the choice is yours but to ignore the fans is to commit financial suicide.

First and second season are very good ones because all actors had their time equally; in the two last seasons, authors have had some more time to some Characters and they had forgotten some others like Nick. George Eads deserves far more screen time than he has gotten in season 4 and so far in season 5. The writers proved Mr. Eads is a good actor in seasons 1 and 2, with the angsty/emotional scenes and plot lines involving him, so what happened?

George deserves a lot of credit. Like my mom was saying during CSI-"He gets $100,000 for 5 minutes of screentime. He must be a better actor than any of them.

I LIKED CSI from the beginning. I became to LOVE CSI after Who Are You. I was hooked at the way George Eads portrayed Nick Stokes. When the gun was pointed at his head and I expected something macho to come out, he cried. What more can I say? I am a George Eads fan above a CSI fan. I think it is a shame and a crime what has happened to his character. I think it's a disgrace to George as a person and an actor. Unless I have heard wrong, he is still a member of this cast and should get treated as an equal to the others. If this lack of screentime continues, I am sorry to say I will stop watching.
Carol, I'm beginning to wonder why you even wanted Mr. Eads back. You've given him nothing as far as a story line for the past 2 seasons. I'm tired of the drama queen Catherine and the mopy Grissom. Give Nick/George some TV Time, otherwise I'll just stop watching. How about a date for Nick - poor guy hasn't been out much or on TV either.

I agree with everyone else. It would be great to learn more about Nick Stokes. I would also like to see more of Sara Sidle and Warrick Brown. It just seems we know next to nothing on these characters. How can we understand them, if we know nothing about them.
Nick stokes should be on screen more often. He used to be on screen much more during the other seasons but has been cut back with each episode... which is just not fair, neither to the actor nor to the plot... :'( Bring him back!

I've just bought the season 2 DVD set and when I watched it I realized that the on screen George Eads is getting has been seriously cut back, which is a real pity because I think he is essential for the series. Please give Nick more scenes!
Please give George more screen time. We have only begun to try and understand the character of Nick Stokes and would love to learn more. We love the way that George portays him and brings the charactert to life, but he can't do that if he has three or four sceens here and there through out an episode. PLEASE try and rectify it for the remainder of the session.
What the show runners at CSI are doing to George Eads is a crime! You are wasting this talented actor by relegating him to be little more than an extra on the set. It's especially telling when your corpses get more screen time than one of your main characters. You have spent the last two years ignoring his character and we, his fans, have waited patiently for you to get around to spending some time and energy developing his character, but three episodes into the new season you have once again proven that you have no intention of doing anything with his character. You spend so much time on the tiresome Grissom and Sara relationship and now viewers are being subjected to yet another inter-shift relationship, effectively shutting the character of Nick out of any kind of attention and added to that your new focus on the character of Greg and George's fans have to wonder what's really going on. If you don't intend to do anything with the character of Nick, then please let us know so we can stop wasting our time on Thursday nights and we can save all that money we would have spent buying your DVD's and other CSI merchandise. I am one fan who is seriously disappointed in all of you.

George is an essential member of this cast and we want to see more of him. It is obvious to us that he has a great deal of talent and we want to see more of it. It was the "Stalker" episode that really brought his character to the forefront of my attention and I've been a fan of his ever since. Please consider that the fans really love George and we love the character that he creates in Nick.
