George is a great actor and what you are doing to him is unfair and cheap. There are only two explanations for this treatment:
1. You guys are just plain mean, and don't want to spend money on your actors...or
2. You are going to have a really big, improtant episode, centered around Nick, and then all the episodes after that will be like the previous seasons, where everyone was involved and talked to each other(and had more than 3 seconds on air).
I truely hope you guys have choosen the second one. Please don't disappoint us. :-(
We LOVE Nicky!!!
Ensemble casts are just that. While individual stories may well feature one or the other character in a given week, overall, balance is everything. Bring the CSIs back into balance, please!
I've only become a fan of CSI over the last year or so (what can I say I'm slow on the uptake) and one of the things I absolutely adore about the show is the wonderful chemistry between the cast.
Now don't get me wrong, I adore all the cast, but Nick Stokes seems to have a kinda special chemistry with all of the other characters - the mentor thing with Gil, the buddies thing with Warrick, the cute friendly flirtation with Catherine - it's wonderful to watch on screen, and I just think it's such a shame that he's been so underused in the new season.
I understand that trying to bring Greg in as a CSI (and incidentally I much preferred him in the lab but not the point) in the new season obviously off-balances things a little, but that's really no excuse for wildly under-using a well loved character, and a well loved and respected actor.
I really would love to see more of that old magic back on screen between the five principles – Gil, Catherine, Warrick, Sara, and of course Nick... as much as I adore Brass, Greg and Doc Robbins, those main five are the centre of the show, and I one of the main reasons (along side of course the excellent story lines) myself, and I don't think I'd be out of line in saying a lot of others, watch the show.
Please, please bring Nick back into the fold where he belongs and give us all back the chemistry and familiarity we love with the characters, and actors we adore.
I watch CSI mainly because of Nick Stokes/George Eads and because watching the characters interact with each other before was fun. I think adding Greg on the field is crowding the old cast. Get him back to the lab where he is best. He's funny and gives a lot of humor when giving out lab results and i really want the old team back on the field and with no one missing. I think there's too much Catherine storyline already, give a chance to the other cast members for a change. Give more air time for Nick - doesn't have to be a romantic story. Please no Catherine-Nick pairings. Thanks for reading.
I am a huge fan of CSI, and was heartily saddened by the news that George Eads' screen time has been drastically cut. I absolutely adore the Nicholas Stokes character, and believe he is an integral part of the CSI team. While I am delighted at the increase of screen time for the quirky Greg Sanders, I feel there would be a great benefit for the show with Greg and Nick becoming close friends. The signs were there, with the one episode where the rock star was murdered by his son's mother. Greg and Nick exchanged the classic hard rock "I Love You" signs with huge grins, and made me realize that the two actors had wonderful on-screen chemistry. Please work out whatever differences you and George Eads might have, as his character is part of the heart and soul of CSI.
Thank you, and I continue to watch every new episode with the hope that Nick Stokes and the rest of the CSI crew continue to build on their personal relationships and stories.
Sincerely, Kris Eshleman
I have been an avid CSI fan since the first season, and one of the things I appreciated most was, besides its never-ending pot of intriguing storylines, the way that each character contributed something to the show that made it special. Each person had a past, a life outside their job, that was at least touched upon and that was a brilliant way to make them seem more real.
When I saw the cast of CSI on the cover of the October 1st issue of Entertainment Weekly at the grocery store, I immediately grabbed it simply because of CSI. What bothered me was reading the following passage: “…offer a fresh perspective on forensics through techie-turned CSI Greg Sanders while nodding to some ongoing themes: Gil’s tendency to be a hard-ass with his team, Warrick’s past problem with gambling, Sara’s battle with booze, and Catherine’s former life as a stripper.”
Well, I think that’s truly wonderful but it’s missing someone that is without a doubt an integral part of the cast. Seeing that only reinforced something that I’d been thinking for a while: what about Nick? Why does he seem to be fading away when he is just as important to the show as anyone else—and, if I may say so, easily the most enjoyable character present?
Nick’s character contributes an essential element, and the show’s ratings may very well suffer unless this role is one that gets the attention and development it deserves soon.
Ughhhhhhhh!!! I absolutely hate "change." I found out about this wonderful show called CSI over the summer. Maybe you've heard of it. The first episode I watched was "Chaos Theory." That episode is the only one I can find with somewhat equal screen time. WHAT HAPPENED!!! Then I watched "Overload", and Nick became my favorite character. I also began to love the idea of Nick/Catherine romance. Thank you MaryEllen R.(#211 on this petition, or somewhere around there) for agreeing with me. Anyway, I kept watching this show and over the past couple months this is what has happened. Nick and Sara have been fired, then rehired a week later. Catherine's problems have been broadcasted on every bulletin board and road sign in the world. Sara has started mentoring Greg, the CSI wannabe, when Nick should be doing that, because he got the promotion. In my opinion, Grissom's part has gotten smaller, too, not that I care. Greg thinks he's all that, but has really lame lines. I missed the episode on Friday, "Crow's feet", but from what I can tell Warrick was shelved, so Greg could be out in the field. All this stuff is negative unless you are a Greg fan. Negative is not what the #1 drama show should be(I think you got a little overly dramatic with Catherine's part). I'm very disappointed. There isn't any fun any more either. It's all work, work, work. They used to crack jokes all the time. This show is going downhill. I think all you Nick fans will agree that more screen time for George will mean more fun and jokes. Ok, CSI needs some romance, too. And I mean real romance. Gil and Sara never had anything. War and Sara started out real bad. Greg and Sara, NO!!! Nick and Sara, maybe. Cath and Gil, please no. Cath and War, maybe. Cath and Nick, YEAH!!! Cath and Greg, absolutely not!!! Maybe some marriage. Oh, Yeah!!! Anyway you guys have cut Nick of his well deserved screen time, and that is just plain mean. Ge
I have to say that 'Nick' is one of the only reasons that I have continued to watch the show. I love the character and the humor and sensitivity that he exhibits.
I am so glad that he is back and hope that they continue to use his talents and expand his role.
george eads hasnt ben geting enough screen time. lately i noticed along wiht most of us that george is just another character, but he isnt being treated as important as all the others. he isnt the fun guy anymore also, all of them are all work no little jokes or little talk that makes you laugh. i want the old Nick back.
If Nick was recommended for the promotion, why isn't he mentoring Greg?.Why is Sara doing the job? It's already enough with Catherine and Sara personal issues!.I want Nick/Greg scenes. Why do they keep them apart?.
Hopefully this petition will get everyones attention over there in CBS. CSI is my favorite show, but lately there has been to many characters, and my fave character has slowly been declining off screen. What happened to sticking with the 5 original cast members? sure Brass, Greg, and the coroners are good, but we need more character development and also need much more Nick. And what about Sarah's problem? Are we ever going to find out about that? CSI is still my fave show, and I will continue to watch it, but we the viewers need more character development and equal screen time among the cast members. Grissom, Catherine, Nick, Sara, and Warick are all great actors and they are apart of the number one show on television, so that should be a clue that it is not a one person show, and the show is not in the dark. Nick needs more screentime, and we need more interactions between him and Gris, and Nick and Sara. So I have said my two cents worth....and good luck George Eads!!!
I do Love CSI and I Love all the Cast and I to would love to see more story lines with Nick he is intelligent and caring and I find it captivating when we see all cast really working as a team and in their own spot light, it brings the show to a personnel level and I get more caught up with each investigation as each cast member gets their time to use their talents to portray the CSI.
Here's the deal. There are lots of great characters on CSI. If you would stop watching because of one character, then you're not a real fan. Get over yourselves. I LOVE CSI, but I love it for the whole show, not just one character.
What drives this show is the cast. It's what seperates it from all the other "wannabe" shows. They will never mesure up because they don't share that same chemistry, and frankly, never will. This is an ENSEMBLE show and it's been that way since the beginning, with everyone sharring equal screen time. Lately i've felt that this "equality" of screen time has diminished, significantly.
Now I realize that there is a difference between a lead and supporting character, I get that. But how much more can we learn about Catherine's exotic past where she met her husband turned ex who was murdered by some drug dealer and left to take care of her hitchiking daughter while having an affair with a club owner .
I don't know if I can take much more. Can we explore some other characters please. I mean how much do we really know about these supporting characters?
It seems at least we're learning something new about Sara this year. GOOD. Greg is getting out in the field and his character seems to be developing. GOOD.
So what about Nick? There is so much potential for this character and yet we have yet to learn a thing since Season 2 when we learned he was abused as a child. George Eads is such a talented actor and I don't feel that he's been given a decent challenge in the past couple years.
Please give him the screen time he deserves, and perhaps a storyline while we're at it.
Thanks for listening.
Nick? Nick who? Oh, yeah! He was that great character I really liked on CSI. Whatever happened to him anyway?
Seriously, quit forgetting you have such a compelling character at your disposal. We've seen so many bizarro things happen to Catherine, Catherine, Catherine lately, I'm beginning to wonder if this show is a soap opera, not a crime drama.
CSI has been my fave FOREVER! Every Thursday night, I am glued to the TV. The biggest reason the show has been such a huge success is the ensemble cast and the fact that the writers of the show haven't fallen into the pitfall of adding more and more "core" characters. The beginning of the end for any high rated show is the addition of more characters. These additional characters always pale in comparison to the established ones.
Last season, I believe, signaled the beginning of the end. With the "promotion" of the Greg Sanders character, I knew that the writers were now beginning the descent into character overload.
The chemistry of the core group has now changed, quite frankly, for the worst. I noticed the signs back in season three, when Nick Stokes was becomming more and more of a "background" fixture and less and less of the "centerpiece" he should be. Each character has his/her designated "slot" to fill in the ensemble. When one character is forced back in the shadows, the chemistry is thrown off. Why in the world did this happen? Was George Eads too demanding as an actor? Was his disdane for the spinoffs too much? Are they punishing him by shelving an integral character?
If this is the case, the writers and producers need to realize that they are punishing a loyal audience. The Stokes/Brown connection, something that has been one of the highlights of the show, has now been quashed. The possibilities with a show like CSI are endless. Instead of introducing new characters, they should focus on the ones who we as viewers have grown to love. Let's see some more of their personal lives. Let's see what Grissom really does when he leaves the lab. Let's see where Nick Stokes as a character can go. I can't remember the last time he had a showcase episode. All of us who have commented wouldn't have done so if we didn't care about the integrity of the show and its fu
Laura,
thanks for making this petition.
George Eads AKA Nick Stokes is one of my favorite characters on CSI along with Jorja Fox AKA Sara Sidle and Eric Szmanda AKA Greg Sanders. And when the people at CBS decide not to put one of my favorite characters in an episode or have then in it for barley any time at all i get mad. So please, the people at CBS, please please please allow Nick and Sara some more air time. I know they are not the 2 main characters as Gil and Catherine are but please, consider it. We need Sara and Nick involved in the episodes more often. They do not get enough air time.
And if you want to, since the whole G/S ship is hopefully over...start making a N/S ship....get them to flirt more and maybe go out ALONE once in a while...have some fun with those two...they're awesome and we need them!! And a Nick/Sara ship is a whole lot better than trying to stick Sara and Grissom in a relationship...can i just say "Eww gross!!!' but with Nick and Sara it's much better...but back to the subject of Nick...we need him!!! so give him as much air time as possible! for the fans.
just want to say
I was a bit disappointed when I watch season 3.
Really disappointed when I watch season 4.
Now from what I heard about season 5, I'm not sure will watch it(maybe just "Viva Las Vegas")
I miss Nick on the screen.
I miss Nick in the team(or maybe I should say in the field).
I miss Nick work with Warrick.
I miss Nick & Sara flirt with each other(yup, I love this two, they're cute, look perfect together. If there is some
romance in CSI, I hope is this two. )even this never gonna happen, no more G/S hint please~~~~~
I miss Greg in the lab(yes, IN THE LAB.he's the best lab tech, but I just want 5 CSI: Grissom, Catherine, NICK, Warrick, Sara.)
I miss they eat breakfast together(they like a family, that's the reason CSI so succeed).
Give Nick more screen time, give George more work.
Give Nick 'deserve to be lead CSI' Stokes more respect, give George 'the talent actor' more credit.
We, the fans, everyone, LOVE George Eads/Nick.
His great acting talents and his ---hott----- looks draw everyone both young and old! Seeing more into Nicks personal life would be great. You seem to be wasting such great talent by not exploring the character!
-GEORGE IF YOUR READING THIS I LOVE YOU!-
Laura thanks for all the effort you have put into this.
What can I say that hasn't already been said?
Not a lot. But I will say that I am deeply upset ( yes I am sad enough to be upset by TV) at the treatment that George Eads has been getting at the hands of the TPTB over at CSI. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. GE is a great actor and by all accounts an extremely nice down to earth guy.
Perhaps the old saying is true after all, nice guys really do finish last, well at CSI anyway. As far as I can tell unless you throw a tantrum worthy of a 2 year old you get nowhere.
I am now at the stage where I think GE might be better off going somewhere else where he would get the chance to shine like all of his fans know he can.
George if you do get to read this, take heart from the fact that all of your fans are behind you no matter what, and that a lot of CSI fans are also horrified at the treatment Nick has gotten and what it has done to a once must see tv show.
Season 5 started out great - but the last 2 episodes have been absolutely boring - why? Almost no Nick Stokes - my favorite character on CSI. Just more and more Greg being shoved down my throat
If the episodes this season stay like this, I will be switching my TV to The Apprentice and watching the first 2 seasons of CSI on Spike TV.
Nick is an amazing, original, well-created character, and there are so many ways this could be developed. It's time some action was taken to actually develop Nick's character, instead of having him hiding in the background episode after episode. Nick is my favourite character, and he deserves a lot more screen time than he is currently getting. Since season 1, his storytime has continuted to decline, and I fear this will continue unless something is done. I support more Nick screen time for George Eads- and all of his fans.
I love the character of Nick, and I would also love it if he would get some more attention. We always she Catherine and her personal problems, why not give Nick a good convincing storyline? Georgr Eads deserves his screentime.
We all want Nick!
Good job starting this petition, Laura!
*walks into the room with a bowl of popcorn and glass of soda and sits down to watch a rip-roaring evening of CSI*
*clicks on TV and is estatic to see the opening credits and them song playing*
*starts munching on her popcorn and nearly cokes on it as she sees that annoying, dipstick, Greg Sanders in the field working a crime scene like he's been doing it from the beginning*
WTF! Why in the hell is Greg out in the field!? *Checks the tv station* Awe Hell! It's frakin' CBS, not Spike TV. That must mean this crappy thursday night. I have got to start paying attention to the days I'm off after I've worked the night shift.
Here I thought I was going to be watching the fabulous seasons one and two of CSI and here I am with this crappy new season five on. *reaches for the TV Guide and flips through it* Oh look! They've got an old episode of Diagnosis Murder on, I think I'll watch that instead. Oh Wait! One Tree Hill is on, I think I'll watch that instead.
*grabs remote and points it at the tv-- just then, Nick pops up on the screen and she smiles, remembering the good old days when Nick use to be part of the team and had some very interesting and wonderfully acted storylines. When the actor, that wonderful, beautiful George Eads was part of the ENSAMBLE cast that had mad the show worth watching every thursday night at 9pm. When Catherine Willows was woman that all other woman could actually look up to, especially single mothers, and say "Hey, she's a great role model" As apose to now when people are saying. "Damn, when the hell did Cat turn into such a freaking Skany drama queen?", Where Sara was actually tolerated for at least one season before people actually started hating the fact that she exsisted, Where Grissom was intelligent and semi-caring and showed a little bit of warmth towards Nick before he got that gaintarse cob stuck up his arse and became a total ***** to "Nicky", where
I started watching CSI first because of the cases presented in each episode. Unfortunately, I found out later that the writing of the show kind of went a bit downward, with inconsistent character personalities and the weird not-the-reason-most-ppl-w atch-the-show-for shippy stuff. However I keep on watching it because I become a BIG BIG fan of GE. So I am of course very disappointed with GE's character being minimized to this unbelievable level in the past two season. And not just him, so were Warrick, Cpt. Brass etc (though they had more screen time than GE, they served to be background most of the time). Where's the chemistry that once made this show so wonderful? Most people are drawn to watch CSI first because of "the evidence", then because of the TEAM. Really, if I want to see one-two-or-three-men show, I'll go see CSI:Miami (or NY from what I heard)...
Personally, of course, I wish to see GE as MUCH as possible. But my point is:
bring back the group, the WHOLE group and nothing but that group!!
Please stop putting the character of Nick Stokes out to pasture. You are wasting him, and that's a shame. He is talented, his character has charisma (way more than Sara), and he's infinitely watchable. Why have you been neglecting him so much?
Y'all learned this summer (with the Eads/Fox firing scandal) how CSI isn't complete without our handsome Texan charmer! You've hit pay dirt, so don't throw it in dustbin. GIVE OUR NICKY MORE AIRTIME! We'll love you forever if you do :)
Please give George Eads more screen time. Its frustrating to watch him fad into the woodwork! I watch CSI because I love the story line AND FOR NICK (and Sara)!!!
I watch the show mainly because I love all the Grissom/Sara stuff but the Nick-fans have my support on this. He has been invisible the past two seasons and that's just not fair. The show has too much Catherine-drama and Greg stuff as it is, give some screentime (meaning more than 4.36 seconds per episode that he now gets) to Nick! I'd love to learn more about the character and his past. Plus, George is really hot. Let's remember that this is an ensemble cast, that's what makes the show wonderful. So, more Nick, please!
BRING NICKY BACK!! Without him, the team doesn't work, they're too close to have either one of them shelved. Nick brings reality, humility, charm, wit and personality to the show. He's got a real life and he's CRUCIAL! WE NEED HIM and he cannot be the ever shinking Nicky! Get George back on CSI!!! Stop sticking him in the subplots. Grissom has had his operation, Warrick's had his gambling problem, Catherine has had things with Lindsey, her ex husband, and even Sara had the thing with Hank. Apart from the Stalker, Nick's had very few central parts, and George is an excellent actor, and needs to be recognized in CSI. I don't believe in Grissom and Catherine being the main characters, as they are a TEAM. There's no I in team, but an I in pie... and in meat pie, and meat is an anogram of team. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say with that but please give him (and Jorja) more time and recognition on CSI.
I'd really like to see more Nick-centric stories on CSI. I feel that he is an integral part of the wonderful ensemble that is the CSI cast. But his character really hasn't been explored to the extent of some of the other characters in the program. After this many seasons... that needs to be addressed!
His character DEFINITELY needs more recognition and more air time. He's an excellent actor and I would not watch the show AT ALL if he wasn't part of it!!
Please bring he character of George Eads of CSI back to a major part of the program. We don't like that Nick Stokes has been relagated to a minor part.
Thank you,
Ame Esan
Please pretty please ( see I am being polite) give George Eads more screen time each week not just a minute every 3rd week or so. He is a much better actor than several of the darlings hogging the screen at CSI at the moment. Do us GE/Nick fans and all CSI fans a favour get your act together and write him some decent storylines.Trust me we will all feel much better with more Nick Stokes in the world.
Oh and Lana comment number 122 thanks that was one of the best on here.
Please keep George Eads on the show. I think he's truly talented actor and I would like to see more of him on the show. Not to mention the fact that he's incredibly hot! I love the interactions that he does get to have with Jorja Fox. I want more of that to view.
I would just like to express my grief over the loss of Nick Stokes time on CSI. He is the main reason I watch the show and without him on there (except for the occasional minute or two here or there) him it doesn't seem worth watching much anymore. Yet I keep tuning in hoping to catch a glimpse of my favortie actor. I'm afraid however if I don't see him on there anymore I might just stop watching the show. Which, granted, is not something I want to do. The writing is amazing with the cases, and it's understandable that the writers don't want to dig too deep into the characters. But after watching them for over four years, we want to know more about them. And not just Catherine, Sara, or Grissom. Nick and Warrick, would are played by incredibly talented actors, have been given little time on the air. It seems as if Warrick's been given a little more time, yet Nick is still lingering in the shawdows. As someone else said, thye might as well just hand a picture on the wall of George and be done with it. I can guarntee a lot of angry fans however if that were to happen. Nick Stokes has proved time and again that he is a stong, interesting, intelligent character. He has the potential to have very strong storylines yet the writiers just won't give it to him. He comes from a large family back in Tezas, who are very prominate in law enforcement, he was sexually abused as a child, he was in a fraternity, he had a relationship with a hooker, and was stalked. There is some major potential for an angsty or romatic story line for him. Anything at this point would be staisfying. I am looking forward to seeing more on his character as soon as possible.
So far in season five it seems as if George, Nick, has had exactly 3.5 seconds of screen time. In the first episode he and Sara work a very interesting case and it seemed like there would be some improvement with his amount of time on the show. Yet with the last two episodes I am yet again dissapointed by the lack of Nick. The "ensamble" cast has turned more into the "Gil and Catherine Variety Hour." In the first couple of season it seemed as if time was evenly spilt between the characters- everyone was getting to work cases that may have hit close to home and become emotional. Yet as time rolled on it seems as if only Catherine, Grissom, or Sara has anything happening in there lives. Are we supposed to assume that Nick just sits around the lab and then goes home to sleep? We might as well assume that he's gone into hibernation with the amount of time we've seen him this season. With the problems that devolped over summer it would seem that Mendelsohn and everyone would try to make sure that Fox and Eads knew they still had places at the show. I suppose there could be some bitterness left over, but please for fans of the shows, bring back this wonderfully interesting character. We love Nick Stokes, and can't wait to find out more of his past and future.
It's a shame that such a talented actor and interesting character are being put to waste. In the first two seasons (espically season two) George Eads character, Nick Stokes, was given storylines that let us explore the character. It seemed that he was definitely going somewhere with all of the things (sexual abuse and a stalker) that happened to him, yet the storylines seemed to have just been dropped. The Grissom/Sara relationship has just gotten old now, with the way the writings been and Catherine has become less of the motherly figure to more of the witch. I understand that the show is supposed to be focused on the evidence and the team, but when it seems like the entire show is spent on William Peterson and his storyline it's is kind of hard to believe that. Nick's character is charimatic, handsome, intelligent, and has what seems to be a wonderful personality (it's hard to tell because if you blink you might not even know he was on the episode at all) that is being put to a waste. Please let this incredibly talented actor use his abilities. The fans, I know, would love to see more of Nick Stokes and George Eads.
I am very disappointed in the lack of Nick Stokes in season five of CSI. George Eads does a great job and some of the best moments on CSI have been between his character and Jorja Fox's Sara Sidle. Nick is an interesting character and it's like he is being punished for the July fiasco that resulted in the firing/rehiring. Please give George more screen time--the show is focused on five people not two. Not everyone is interested in all Catherine all the time. They are all interesting lets see more of Sara and Nick
It is sad when you have a talented actor, whose character shows such promise, and you don't utilize him. I love the other original CSI's. However, too much screen time is being spent on melodramatic character development and George is paying the price.
I would like to see more of Nick's character on the show...Eads is a capable enough actor and it shouldnt always be focused on grissom and Katherine ALL the time
Give Nick more screen time! I like the actor and I like the character he is playing. There is no reason why he should get less screen time then the others.
I'm starting to think that you have some kind of destruction complex... In two seasons you've made Catherine turns into a bit**, Sara a drunker, Nick...oh, wait was he even in there??Maybe I've just choosen the wrong momemt to blink and I've miss him...
I have to wait till late april/may to see a new season of CSI and after all the wait all I get to see is a new season with NO NICK??? Hell,George Eads is such a great actor why don't give him as much screen-time as others have??? No need to say Nick is my favorite character and as much as I think Mr.Petersen is a great actor, George's character is much more real, much more worth to see...Please, don't waste such a great potential...
If Nick has more 'seniority' than Warrick (CSI level 3 first) why doesnt he get more respect, more airtime, more personal background? Catherine gets way too much of that.
You created an interesting character with Nick Stokes. But you rarely ever hint back to the few references we have gotten of his past, his family and his troubles. It would be such a shame to let such potential go to waste. Please improve it.
George Eads/Nick Stokes is getting all his screen time squeezed down to nothing. Please fix this...he is an interesting & charismatic character. There's no reason to be cheating him...plain & simple. You are cheating the fans, too.
It is a shame that the powers that be cannot see what is crystal clear to the rest of us. George Eads is a talented actor and after the sun sets on CSI he will continue to have a lengthy career because he is versatile and brings a realism to the characters he portrays. I have often thought that he resembles Tom Cruise, and I think that we'll be seeing great things from George in the future.
As a fan of CSI that has tuned in since the very first episode, I certainly hope that the producers wake up and tap into George's talent. The first two seasons were what made this show number one. What we've seen since then is writing that has watered the concept of the show down and as they've chosen to delve into the development of Catherine's character to the point of annoyance, they've neglected the vast potential that lies in exploring the character of Nick Stokes. Why in four seasons have we not seen or heard mention of his family which is supposed to be such a prominant law enforcement family in Texas? Surely someone in Vegas has heard of them. We used to see glimpses of Nick having a social life and the way he's been written the last two seasons, one would likely believe that the poor boy is considering a career change to become a priest, or maybe that's what he's been doing when he hasn't been on screen because heaven knows he's had enough time to have a second career.
I was prepared to boycott CBS when George and Jorja were fired, and I did not watch the network at all until I had learned that they had been rehired. If George doesn't get more screen time and we don't start seeing him on screen more than the body of the week, I may just have to find something else to do on Thursday night.
Let George earn his per episode salary, he certainly is capable of it and we'd certainly love to see him so we stop missing his appearance on screen because we had to blink.
Since the beginning of CSI, the entire cast has been included. With excellent and very involved story lines. Since I have aback ground in Military law enforcement I find it a tremendous reference, if you will, in the area's of forensic science. All the character's portray vital links in this TEAM of CSI. With just one or two character's targeted week after week, you loose the vitality of the whole concept of the show. George's character Nick Stokes, has number's of story lines that could be created that would mix and mingle with the other character's. And with the whole picture, benefit the entire CSI series. I love this series, mainly for the TEAM that was created since the pilot. Nick Stokes is apart of that team, and yet as a not so known actor George Eads is loosing that TEAM advantage. As a fan I would like to see more of Nick Stokes, back in the action as a vital TEAM member of CSI.
how can you possibly consider reducing this excellent actor's screentime and minimizing the development of what i see a pivitol character in the csi team. His texan charm and friendly mannerisms have been overlooked many a time by older more known actors that play the primary roles which surely have their fan base but you're overlooking the fanbase of the younger totally more attractive Nick Stokes (george eads) - you're paying him for his wonderful talent why not put it on show some more! GIVE HIM MORE SCREEN TIME! develop the wonderful character that is Nick Stokes and fill our screens with the sexy hunk :)
Nick is such an interesting and integral part of CSI. George definatly needs more screentime, especially with Jorja since they have amazing chemistry together.
Don't waste George's talents. His abuse was dealt with in one single episode - surely something like that would have lasting effects? I love every CSI character. I'm not writing this because Nick is my favorite - I'm writing it to see the character development evenly dispersed between all the brilliant actors you have on the show. Thank you.
when is Nick Stokes going to actually be a regular cast member again? I mean, there he is in the opening credits, you'd think that would mean George Eads would actually be used in the show. There's been a major decline in his screen presense since season 2. I can only wonder why; you can't have run out of storylines.
His such a cutie! I think that his part should grow dramatically! Enough with Catherine's life! Lets here more about Nicky boy. He always seems to be the screw up and stuff. Get him a girlfriend, Give him better cases and make it all better please!
Season One and Two were the best because the show involved the entire cast. Last season (and this season sadly) was all about Catherine and Sara. What happened to Nick and Warrick? Their competitive spirit on cases was always so much fun to watch. I hope the show goes back to some of the olds ways. I miss the old Grissom. I miss watching Grissom and Doc Roberts try to figure out the medical aspects of a case. The only character that seems to grow is Greg, but I miss him (and his weirdness)in the lab. I miss hearing about the rivalry between the day and night shift. I'm tired of everything centering on Catherine and Willow. I like these characters but does every episode have to be about them? Let's hope things change later on this season.
I would love to see the character of Nick developed much more than it is. He's had plenty briefly mentioned but that's it. Then it's dropped. I watch CSI for Nick too. Please give him some story!
I don't understand this. CSI was all about the ensemble cast but now one of that ensemble is being pushed aside for someone who was never supposed to be a memeber of the show anyway. Or you're giving his screentime to the other characters who already have enough as it is.
What has happened to George Eads? Why, CSI writers, are you treating him the way you are treating him.
What has George Eads done to desevers this.
Please stop this and give George his screentime back.
Someone, on a CSI site, (and with a lot of time on his hands, btw),has estimated some characters' screentime on the three episodes of this season:
WARRICK _ 21.28 minutes
SARA _ 15.24 minutes
GREG _ 12.25 minutes
NICK _ 9.46 minutes
SO, please, don't bash Greg;he's not "stealing" Nick's screentime.Other character do.Look at Warrick, Sara or,better, look at The Catherine Willows Show.
Why is everybody training Greg ,but Nick?.What happened to all the Nick/Greg scenes?.They seem to be together less and less as seasons go by.I don't want Sara or Warrick mentoring Greg;they already get enough screentime.I want more Nick!.George deserves it.
Okay so I get that the studio is ticked off at Gerorge Eads and Jorja Fox. So I can understand the two of them having little screen time in the first show of the episode, but TPTB seem to have forgiven Jorja. What about George? Has he been punished long enough yet? I love CSI. It's a wonderful show that always gets me thiking. But from a totally shallow standpoint, I love the men on CSI. All of them. Nick and Warrick and Nick and Greg have a great friendship chemstry going.
George has said he's sorry. He's taken his punishment like a man. It's time to let him back in front of the camera.
Where is Nick?
It seems like he keeps disappearing into the shadows more and more these days.
That just isn't right. George is just as much a part of this show as the other characters are.
Give him more to do. He has storylines you can flesh out. Remember he was molested as a child, almost killed at a crime scene and was stalked. I know its been said that you folks don't want to foucs on personal lives but that seems to have gone out the window lately and if you are going to focus on personal lives then show Nick and how he is dealing with I just said. Its not like there aren't things you can't do for him.
Yet you folks seem to want to push him out in favor of giving Eric Szmanda wahtever he thinks he deserves.
George Eads is a FOUNDING member of this show, not Eric. Treat George accordingly and give him the screentime he deserves.
If he goes, I'm going. CSI has started going downhill anyway as it is. There was a formula in seasons 1 aqnd 2 that you should have stuck with. Please bring the show back to what it was and please give George his screentime back.
I along with tons of other CSI/Nick S. fans have noticed the dissappearance of George Eads. Why? I just don't understand. He is a fantastic actor, and Nick is such a wonderful actor. I actually started watching the show because of George Eads. And I have been very dissappointed to see him slowly, but surely just dissappearing into thin air. Instead of Nick Stokes being a CSI field investigator he has become a lab tech! Please don't let this character and actor slip through your fingers. Both are extremaly important to the show.
Nick Stokes is a complex character with so many possibilities. I'm surprise that the writers have not a field day with it. Child aubse, the Nigel stalking, gun point with the killer woman...So many possibilities. If your writers need inspiration, what about Nigel getting out of Jail? Need some more? Just ask! But please, give me NIck Stokes more than a few seconds by episode!!!!
Thank you
Nick Stokes is one of the main reasons I watch CSI and I am extremely frustrated with his lack of screen time. Please give us back the CSI which we all fell in love with and made #1
Nick Stokes is the main reason I watch CSI. Next to the tech stuff of course. But where is the storyline going - he seemed to be doning great getting promoted and such but he doesn't seem to get more cases (aka screen time). We love George Eads and want to see more of him. CSI is an ensamble cast and all characters should have the same depth and screentime. If we want to watch one person bloom we'll switch to CSI:Miami. The whole point of why we love CSI is that it is a group effort and every fan has his/her favourite and that's just perfect. Please keep it that way and use George for more cases!
