Oh hell yes. That's how I tell a lot of my stories that I make up in my head. It's just another form of expression. I wish FF.net would stop being so intolerant.
CYOA's and Reader inserts have just the smae amout of rights as any other fan fics, on the sites, Correct me if I'm wrong but, reviewers love reader insert type stories and go looking for them, which means reviews for the other guys too. If the CYOA's leave so do the reveiws.
The people complaining to the sites to take down CYOA and Reader insert fictions only wanted them taken down because of the inaproraite ones, like the 13 and 12 year olds writing about sex and junk like that. Which ruined it for the rest of us. But just because some stupid kids did some stupid stuff doesn't mean they should take down the entire CYOA/ Reader insert fictions.
it's bad enough that they don't allow CYOA's but they also are taking off my favorite shows, i tried all the other sites, but i only like Mediaminer, i'm now accustomed to it but i still want them back.
This is so NOT FAIR AT ALL! MM.org and FF.net should let CYOAs be alound and besides CYOAs ARE FANFIC even if they say it's not. -_-x EVIL MM.org and FF.net! Besides the only reason I every joined mm.org was because they had and (at the time) aloud CYOAs!*glares ar ff.net and mm.org*
Why the hell did you mm.org and ff.net people have to delete CYOAs anyway?I thought these sites were devoted to fanfiction and im pretty sure CYOA is a type of fanfiction. Theres no good reason for deleting them damnit! Its unfare tha they deleted every ones haed work, people have the right to write about what they want. One of, no In FACT the only reason why I joined your site because the fact that it had Cyoa's. You had deleted our workand now where mad.
CYOA shouldn't be deleted. The authors work hard on them and it isn't fair for them to be deleted or have the author be band from the wedsite. And it's not fair to the readers who are reading them! Long live the CYOA's!
It's not fair that mediaminer is doing this. They're starting to be as stifling as FF.net! This was the one safe haven for these fics and it should remain open! Not all Fiction is alike, just as no people/authors are alike! Keep the CYOAS ALIVE!!!
CYOA's should be allowed on all fanfiction websites! I honestly don't get what's so bad about them, so what's the huge deal about banning them? It's descrimination, I say!
I'm signing this for someone who is so far away, yet still close to me. She has beconed, so I have come. I remember a day when she was so proud of her CYOA, and wanted me to read it. Regretfully, I never did. But her pride in her work was great, and I know that when I create something that I'm proud of, I don't want to see it thrown away. Hard work and effort should be admired, not thrown away because it's new or different. It seems to me that Mediaminer.org is just like society. They never accept anything new or different, they shun it and try to "cleanse" themselves of this new infidel. Well, mediaminer staff, if you do read this (which I doubt) you'ce succumbed to the level of the bastards who drive people to suicide. Just know this.

Some of my favorite stories are CYOA's.And those stories had to be written and my favorite Author has amazing writing skills.Oh,and all of her fics are CYOAS!
I think CYOA's are fun.. And some people do work on their CYOA stories.. It's sad to see their work deleted.. It's a waste of their life to try to find another website that lets CYOA's be available.. Even if they're just sitting in front of the computer/laptop/etc
I really think you should keep the CYOA's where they are. I belive that some(or most)people go to mm.org just to read them. I know I do. I belive that people read them cuz they feel like it actually brings them into the story. AND I JUST LOVE THEM!
ok here i go and i wont stop until mediaminer stops deleting our stories that we all love so much. and there is nothing that i wont do till they stop cause mediaminer is my favorite place to go to read. so if u want to save our stories just do so, dont just sit around waiting till everything is back together no cause that is just wrong. also i have to go find a new story to read everyday and i am sick of so here i am helping out as much as i can to save what i have the right to read and no one is going to stop me until everything is back to normal.
I've never made a cyoa before, but there my favorite types of stories to read. When FF.net started taking away cyoa's I moved to mm.org(mediaminer.org) to read cyoa's. but now THEIR deleting them! It's madness! My friend worte a cyoa on FF.net and it deleted it so she moved to MM.org and now she's thinking about taking it off so it doesen't get deleted. WHY DO THEY DELETE OUR HARD WORK!? WE WORK HARD ON CYOA'S AND NOT THEY DELETE THEM?! UNFAIRNESS!! UNFAIRNESS!!! IT'S MADNESS!
I may not have not been a good writer at CYOA'S but i enjoyed reading them and i think mediaminer is not being fair by taking CYOA'Soff they should be kept on there , just cause we are put into the story does not mean we are hurting anything ,all we want is to be in the action of the show, game w/e and to be with our favorite bishi is that to hard to ask i think nit!!!!
the only reason i moved to mediaminer.org is because fanfiction.net was deleting cyoa fics. and mediaminer is so user-friendly! and all i read are cyoas... and its all i write, too!!!!!!!!!!!! unfair! unfair!
I see nothing wrong with cyoas. I found out about mediaminer.org through an author at ff.net who had to repost her story here because ff.net started deleting cyoas. there is nothing wrong with these type of storys and i belive that if mediaminer.org wants to delete cyoas then they should at least have a plausible reason for it.

CYOA's should not be deleted they the write to be on sites just like the other fics it's not fair to delete them especially since they are so popular with people and that goes for the insert yourselves too.~_~

MM.org is deleting Cyoa ect. they must be stopped they want to make it a "better place" they call it. well i call it "lets piss kurama lover7 off" and it worked to. I used to like FF.net, until they banned CYOA's. My only refuge was Mediaminer. Now they are no better than FF.net!!!! I love CYOA's and I don't want to see them deleted!!! Just my luck when I decided to write one and they just go and ban them!!!! What is with this anyways!?!?!?! It's not like they're bad or anything! In fact they bring more people to the sites! Many great authors are being torn down and I wont stand for it!!! I don't want to run to other sites!!! Boycott Mediaminer!!!! Boycott FF.net!!!! SCREW THEM!!!!You're going down CYOA banners!!!

I will say this, I agree with everyone that has commmented here. CYOA's shouldn't be deleated they should be left alone and given they're own section. I love reading them and its fun to see what people come up with. Hell, they're even fun to write. Theres no limit to what you can do with these kinds of fics. And if MM and FF.net don't like it, then I'm make my own dammned site! I probable won't but who knows. Descriminating against writing styles is a a bunch of BS and well I will not stand for it! I'm signing this to give Cyoa's a chance. And to maybe change the way these morons think, thank you.
Self Insertions and CYOA's are probably some of the best fanfics around. Deleting them only makes you loose quite a lot of users. Ever heard a certain thing called 'freedom of speech'? That gives people to write anything and anyway they want. Making up stupid rules barring and banning certain type of writing styles is just plain wrong. If I write in second person, does that mean my fics aren't really fanfictions? If I make it so people can actually put themselves into a fic, does that make it wrong? Do you think I'm just being selfish for wanting to keep Self Insertions and CYOA's? Do You? Long Live the CYOA's and Second Person fics.
Why do you delete CYOA's and SI's? WhY? They are the whole reason that we read and right fanfictions! Because we are leeting our own fantasies out!!! I mean, without OC's and the choice of your your actions, there is nothing for us to read!!!
CYOA's are awesome. Why do these sites want to get rid of them anyway? Because they are getting to many visitors for them? Everyone I know that reads fanfics always say CYOA's are the best kind out there. It's just plain dumb to delete them. *sigh* =.=;;
I agree with the other authors and users who loves cyoas I enjoy reading them myself. And I believe it would be wise to keep those cyoas on mediaminer. Besides my friends are pissed that they won't see any more cyoas. And besides if they do delete them I'll be giving mediaminer a bad reputation.

They cannot delete self insertions or CYOA stories. FF.net and MM.org has taken them down, and we all work hard on them, and put much thought into the things we right, i came to those sites for CYOA stories and unless i get them, i will leave them. I don't think they have any right to delete them, if they are going to delete one type of story than why keep the rest!?! What's wrong with it anyway, CYOA IS THE BEST KIND OF STORY THERE IS. and i think that when i say what they are doing is wrong, everyone here will agree with me. NOOOOOOOO!They CAN NOT delete the self insertions!It plays a MAJOR part in fanfiction and if it was deleted, it would be like a huge chunk is missing. Authors and authoresses work very hard to those fanfics write or any other fanfics, for that matter, and deleting them would simply be wrong. One of the only reasons I came to MM.org was because FF.net *HISS*(Evil) banned them and if MM. bans them too,then what would the world of fanfics come to? MM. is one of the only good ones left, so PLEASE reconsider the banning???
Oh my gosh, they are doing it again. FF.net did it, and now MM.org. Why are you doing this? There is no method to this madness! If I can't find a website that allows CYOAs, I'll take my friends and found my own. Everyone has worked so hard on the stories and they deserve to be honored! I feel so bad for authors whose works get deleted because, for some reason, these fiction sites don't like CYOA's and such. it's horrible to delete something someone worked so hard on.
