On December 18th, it was announced that 16-year old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. Ms. Spears is the star of Nickelodeon’s hit show Zoey 101. So far Nickelodeon has not announced what will be happening to the show. Given Nickelodeon is a network aimed at children, I feel it is important for them to set the right example and cancel the show immediately. As a concerned parent whose children watch Nickelodeon, I’m asking other concerned parents to join me in this petition to Nickelodeon, and to pledge to boycott all products from companies that have their products advertised during the airing of Zoey 101.

Surely there are at least 1000 concerned parents left in America.

I support this petition, only on the condition that we also unite to in turn boycott Sarah Palin, for attempting to represent the American public after raising a child who is now in the exact same situation as Ms. Spears.

I support this petition. As a former tv news exec with 4 kids, including one 12 year old... how can you continue to show this "girl" in the spotlight. Nickelodeon should have, instead, shown the world's children what happens when you not only get pregnant, but have sex at such a young age. Most normal girls that age are sent to a high school with other expecting mothers to be kept out of the vision of their non-pregnant peers. The Spears children - both of them - should be kept from any future and present multimedia exposure... their mother as well. I am infuriated and shocked that some incredible fool at the top has allowed this exposure to continue!

She should not be a role model for young teenagers

I completely SUPPORT this. Obviously, there are people out there that want roll models like this. Who wants our teenagers to think that getting pregnant this young is acceptable ... NOT ME! TAKE IT OFF THE AIR!

It is a very bad decision to have a show on television where the leading character is 16 and is a mother. The range of kids that watch this station are around 7-13. They should not be subject to a girl who screwed up her entire life by getting knocked up. Put her on MTV or someother crappy channel

Take this show off the air! Who wants their kids to be watching a show that is basically supporting teen pregnancy. The Spears family should not be in show business.

I am disgusted by Nickelodeon's lack of concern over this matter. I suppose they think it's fine to promote teenage sex and pregnancy?
