In 1962 a mine fire started on the outside of Centralia, PA and continued for 47 years. In the beginning, the people wh owere suffering from the toxic fumes were moved, then the rest move on a voluntary basis. Only 9 families remain. In 1993 the state of PA took eminent domain over the town and are now beginning to evict the people, This petition is going to President Obama to stop PA from evicting the remaining families, most of whom were born and raised there.
