I pay lots of money to child support. Not that I am complaining cuz they are my children to. But I feel that child support issues should be changed just a tad bit. Child support reform needs to happen. Men are being fleeced by the system and are going into poverty due to an unfair and biased formula and system.

Child support needs changed. I've seen 2 ends of this horrible system. Mothers who receive no support and fathers who get thrown in jail when they miss one payment but the fathers who don't pay never see jail time.

I support this petition. Laws need to be modified. I pay support on my son and have faithfully. Yet almost never get to see him. I have learned that apparently court ordered visitation is not enforceable by law enforcement. yet they can come pick me up if I don't pay my support. Doesn't sound quite fair does it. It should be just as much of a crime to deny visitation as it is to deny child support.

I'm a single father of a five year old. Have been for 3 years. Child support needs a major overhaul along with child custody laws.

The child support agencies have too much power and lack the ability to use it properly. It is unfair to put cases under a blanket policy, not everybody’s case is the same and should be taken in a case by case scenario. Did you know that if you have a child that your spouse has from a previous relationship living with you full time that, that child doesn’t count as yours or even a dependent by the guidelines the child support enforcement have.

My daughter is 3.5 years old. Her father Richard N. has money to take his girlfriend on trips and buy a new vehicle. He is a demanding parent if I am 1 minute late dropping her off he is on the phone balling me out. He gives me less than 24 hours notice if he can not see her which always messes me up. He buys her all new things and feeds her anything she wants soda, candy junk while she sees him which is 4 hours twice a week. He has three jobs and makes great money. What's wrong??? He does not think he should pay any child support to help in her up bringing. He is adamant about not paying and enjoys watching me struggle and points it out in court what I can not do for her by myself. If she is not getting a good education or has a medical issue it is up to me to pay for it and make the arrangements. He doesn't care to pay just to criticize me. He is going to court for Contempt Charges and still refuses to pay. He lies about his income and says he doesn't have any money and has the court appoint him an attorney because the poor guy is broke. The next week goes on a 5 day vacation. I allow our daughter to see her father during his visit times and if she wants to talk to her dad I dial the number for her. I do everything I can to do the right thing to foster a healthy relationship for her with her father. I personally think he is a cheap bastard and it is truly sad that he is so selfish that he can never see beyond his needs to make sure she gets a good life. Rick, God is seeing your actions and I pray for his mercy on your sole!

The CS system should be more fair to both parents. If the NCP doesn't help with the child (money, time, etc..) there should be a penalty. Same with the CP, if they do not do right thing with the money, time, etc... then they should have a penalty. We all what what's best for the CHILD.

because I have fought for 8+ years in the courts with a father who only bothered when it was convienent for him. (Perhaps once a year when he wanted to play the "good father" role to his family at the Xmas holiday. Our daughter has special needs and this was very confusing and upsetting to her every year!

I agree with this for all reasons. I am not recieving child support, however he does not see our daughter, but he wants to be part of her life.

My sons father abandoned him after I broke off engagement. They have never seen each other. Nor does my son get child support.
