I support this petition. I was a fan of Doctor Who as a child, I am an even greater fan now. Christopher is perfect for the role. I am a fan of Christophers other works, so I look forward to anything he does, but if I could pick for purely selfish reasons. I want Christopher BACK as The Doctor. By the way my two children agree Doctor Who is cool.

I support this petition. Your persona and acting ability that you gave to teh charachter has changed Dr who - updating it and refreshing the image - the personality and life of the Doctor kept me hooked ... I saw the Christmas Invasion... hes too puny to be the dr now... and his voice! erugh...

If you wished to quite I respect your decision- I just wish that you hadn't- I loved your protrayal of the Dr, I've seen Tennant in Casonova and I think he will make a very interesting Dr as well- but I would just love to have you back. People say that you quit becouse of being overworked- I don't know if that's true- but if it is then just concider how brilliant your performance was, due in part to how much you were pushed and forced to throw everything you had into the role. Please come back- I'm an Aussie and Dr Who's the only program with you in it that we get over here- please do not deny me the joy of watching you act- it really is more insightful then you realise.

Christopher Eccleston is, it must be said, an amazing actor. As a 'whovian' myself, I can say he is my favourite Doctor. HOWEVER - the Doctor has regenerated. He can't come back. We haven't seen David Tennant yet, let's give him a chance - and hope for a Ten Doctor's episode! But CE was utterly fantastic.
