I will NOT able to enjoy the movie or popular show without closed captions. It is also important educating to the readers whether it is for deaf, hard of hearing, and those who are learning our language or other reasons. Withoud CC. THat would be disgrace.
Yes there is a law for CC on DVDs however there are some no CC on DVDs like old movies or kids movies (some unheard of) I wouldn't buy them without CC..not worth on my money...and cannot entertain myself with my family. What is more...not hard to add one and there will be more people purchase them. Think Twice.
Oh...you have to keep CC..I cannot watch t.v or dvd's w/o CC!! I am deaf/and even tho I read lips well..the camera is never close enough to the face to read the lips. I'd die w/o the CC!! PLEASE KEEP THE CC!!! My life would be so miserable w/o the CC. And for many other people too!
I have not been able to watch many shows because they were not closed captioned...That's not fair for the Deaf..I had look for shows or movies that are closed captioned.
I don't understand tv without close captioned..Remember the silent movies?
There was a piano player..for the hearies. How about stop the sounds for a month and read closed captioned more for everybody??
Our whole family uses closed captioning. Our son is deaf. We have 6 children. We work with deaf of all ages and have many people in our home so the closed captioning is a necessity to our lives.
Must have CC on all TV shows and movies, and all DVD and VHS movies. Very Important having CC for our education and communication. Plz keep CC on all of the times. Thanks.
I have always used closed captial. Loves to watch DVD movies. Please keep on use those, don't discount it. It is really hard to read lips with different people!
I have always use closed captioned all my life, can't live without it because it is so hard to read so many different people's lips. Please keep Closed Caption for t.v. and dvd movies.
More of today that lot of people and business are using Closed Captioned and it's not using only for Deaf Adults but hearing, elder, other language user, children, Educator etc.. Closed-Captioned is great tools to keep and provide the equal access to most everyone. It does gave Deaf community a great and extra benfits to have closed-captioned.
I am disappointed that there are not enough latest DVD movies that are captioned. I would like to be able to view the movies with closed captioning and understand the movie just like normal hearing people would. I just wanted to be treated fairly regardless that I am Deaf. We all are Human and we have Feelings. Hope that NAD would help us win the fight to have more movies closed capitoned for Deafs.
don't forget ur grandparents lose their hearing and difficult to hear even though using their hearing aids, the best way they can understand ur movie story by closed-caption or subtitle. Hopeful you think about that.
We, the Deaf have waited so long to see Closed-caption in movies, TV and DVD's. All of us would like to see Closed-caption in every station in the U.S.
Please keep closed captioned on TV, Movies, DVDS and VHS! I need to have closed captioned so I can enjoy watching the TV programs, movies, Family Movies, Movies on DVDS and VHS.
Without closed captioned I get upset becasue I could NOT understand what the people were saying and it cause frustration and no enjoyment at all!!

cc is very important to me to watch the content of all shows regardless if it a commercial or educational or simply entertaining movies so i know what my kids are watching. how can i even enjoy having conversation with my fellow freinds who are hearing how something we saw on tv or movie if we dont know whats it about or said ? i vote to have cc on everything as its a important part of our daily lives.
I will be completed lost if there is no closed captioned! Having closed caption is very edcuational for myself and my children! It is very inportatnt to keep the closed caption!!
unfair the hearing people enjoying to watch the movies and can understand what it talked about .. Where is Deaf people enjoy? or can understand without C.C.?
closed captioned is very a MUST thats part of education and it will help people who cant read it will improve their reading as well and pls dont take that away from us i am deaf also .
We don't want to go back to dark ages not knowing what is really going on with current stories and trends. We need to KNOW everything as hearing people know everything.

I am all for close captions on movies and tv show, etc. We want to be informed very well as equal as hearing people out in this world. Don't leave us out as it will be like in the dark ages we were suffering for a long time. It is time to tear the wall down and be able to understand what is going on. Thanks.
What the nerve you have to discontinue the CC!!! Deaf people like myself need CC in order to understand what is said on DVD!!! Why don't you play deaf by watching DVD with voice off.
I agreed with it. I had a problem with Blockbuster because most of DVD movies have foreign and english voices for hearing people and languages for foreigners but not for Deaf people.
been deaf since birth.. had no cc or tty since til i was 13 or 14 yrs old.. my old church gave me 2 ttys for the first time and it was sweetest thing they have done for me! and also my father finally afford to buy me old cc machine so i could read cc on tv! now im 31 yrs old, finally in general have cc without old cc machine! now they want to take that pride away from us?? just dont, please.. dont let us fall behind! lets all of us in world be very happy in peace!
We, the hearing impaired people need to have quality closed captioning so we can understand the dialogue and to be able to interact with the hearing people and to be equally acknowledgable as them. We demand to have quality closed captioning on all movies and other shows that would benefit us and to broaden our horizons.
everyone should be able to go to the movies when they want, so make every movie have closed caption on them. it makes the world a better place. make everyone equal even the people who can't hear.
