all deaf people remember should adding new cc for new release movie at place or cable movie live with cc same as out movie place.. also, keeping dvd,vhs,tv,cable but one missing movie on live cc...
sound good point cc tv and dvd,vhs alway new relase but, sometime classic movie missing cc. also, we cannot hear new relase at movie place unfair no cc alway later new dvd or vhs with cc lately

Those who love power, lust after money and control of other human beings care not one wit about the bottom layers of the pyramid that suports military budgets that steal medicine from the old and infirm. Take away, chip by chip (so as to not be noticed)all things helpful to those in need. Better to first totally destroy some other nation and then spend "into the ground" billions upon billions to re-build a foreign land by taking benefits from the poor of the "mother" country. Let us pray that we do not begin to call the USA "Der Fatherland"
All avenues of communication should be made accessible. Anything less is discriminatory. Sign this petition and fight against discrimination against people who are Deaf, deaf or hard-of-hearing.
Without CC on DVD, I couldn't be able to learn how to improve my english languade since I've been watching DVD with CC all the time, it gives me an opportunity to learn and know what's going on and all that what else can I tell you more about it? Otherwise withouth CC, my life will be miscrble!

I definetely agree with putting closed captions on all dvds, it is unfair for us, deaf people to be unable to enjoy to watch the films w/o cc. How can hearing people hear and enjoy the films but us the deaf people?! I am a movie buff and always watch them w/ cc on dvds...pls DON'T forget us deaf people...let us all enjoy the entertainment for once of all! Treat us equal like hearing people, do not put us deaf people away from enjoying our movie time!
we vote in america why take our freedom away that we need to be able to understand and communicate and read the cc? however people and producer do not really understand the deaf culuture how will they feel if the deaf culture took over the america and hearing people can't do anything feel limit. we are all equal no matter who we are the hearing people should realized that it is over in the pass and be fair to counutiue with the cc. the bottom line is i support the cc for anything we need to be able to see and understand what is happening. without cc how can the h____ we understand what is going on? let the freedom speak loud to the american people and polican too that we are all equal. we are not dumb we are a lot smarter than they are. let kick some ass and counutie to have cc on dvd and tv.
Each time I go to Hollywood Video desparelty look for cc on the rented dvd movies. When I want this specific movie on dvd, there is no cc feature. It upsets me and I do not want to rent it. I drop it right away and left for home in low self esteem. How can hearing people enjoy while we are NOT? I prefer CC rather than subtitle. Reason why CC is preferable is because they can quote who says or will say phone riniging in background. CC provides more specific information rather than subtitle. Pls comfort deaf community and ensure thier needs will be meet with no problem. I truly believe that you find your heart to share our struggle and put yourself in our shoe. Pls show your "Scout's Honor" that it will be a promise that cc will always be in ALL DVD! Supopse if you become senior citizen, I guarantee you will understand us better so pls do not let it be too late!!

In this day age close captioning for the hearing impaired should being able to view and understand any DVD, VHS, TV shows and commericals. To me I feel it is discrimating against the deaf. Harold Rhoades
I agree that DVD or Videotape require to have the closed caption because deaf could not hear the volume and it is good for the kids who are hard of hearing or deaf to learn the English language. It will be challenge for them to learn the English language, it is part of our deaf culture.
We Deaf/Hard of Hearing Americans ask you not to be "blissfully ignorant" to our society's needs. Please continue to provide Closed Captioning on DVDs, TV movies/programs, and all that. Thank you for your consideration.

All of sudden, why do you stop producing CC/text/subtitles on DVDs? Are you desperate to save money to use other funds instead of spending on CC/Text/Subtitling on DVDs? HUH?! Come on, it is not just for deaf, it can used for (hearing or hard of hearing) senior citizens! Think of other needed people!!
We required to have the closed captioned otherwise We will be crazy and lack of understanding and frustrating about anyting. The closed captioned is more important for our daily life.
Would hearing people think of producing movies without voice or sound? Why would they think Deaf people don't need captions??? Please make media accessible to all!

As a hearing person that was raised with 2 hearing impaired parents I STRONGLY urge we keep the Closed Captioning for all the deaf and hearing impaired!!

Those Closed Captioning is NOT for Deaf only also for Hearing, too. Older hearing people's hearing loss due to old age, will enjoy to watch movies or sports with caption.

I think so the deaf people need to read grammar english and reading, too. If the hearing people can see the deaf people don't understand what did DVD movie say anything to them. It is not impossible for where is the education for the deaf people need captioned closed with dvd. It is not fair to the deaf people are paying more money and waste to watch without the Captioned Closed with DVD. Where is the Captioned Closed company respect the deaf people.
We, deafies, have a right to understand what's going on in movies. It's not fair that HEARING people do understand and keep showing emotional (laughing, crying, etc). Sheesh I'm sick of it for keeping asking what's going on what's wrong?

My husband and I really need the closed captions on the any videos because we cant watch it on the theater movies in some small towns. It wouldn't be fair to us.
I strongly support the position of NAD that all video programming, whether new programming, or older programming, contain closed captioning. This should include both broadcast programming and recorded programming(regardless of the recording media used.)

Deaf people need to have access to all kinds of information and entertainment. Captioning is not difficult, and it will improve the quality of life for an important segment of our society.
yeah, I will like to leave cc on dvd movies as it is...or else I wouldn't watch it...cuz I won't be able to understand it and I depend on cc cuz I am deaf, too...jeez...can't they understand how we feel about it if you guys will be in our shoes ...you will get an idea how we feel about it and very frustrating without cc, you know...thx
