Closed Captioning is very important for Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. We understand the movies much better with CC. My hearing children read them too. Subtitle doesn't always show the background sound and hard to see those letters on bright background. Please continue the close-captioning on all DVDs and VHS. Thank you
It is very important for deaf peoeple to read Closed Caption on TV show or DVD movies, because they need to improve their reading skill and education. IT IS A LAW!
all the deaf people are very depends on the closed captioning and there are also its very important for them to read and know what's going on the movies and etcc.
all the deaf people are very depends on the closed captioning and there are also its very important for them to read and know what's going on the movies and etcc.
Deaf and hearing people are the same human being. If cut or none CC on DVD and/or others like TV and Videotape to Deaf people, so therefore, why not to cut/none voice DVD, TV, etc. for hearing people?
pls keep CC on tv, dvd,all channels, movies for all deaf peoples and make them understand what it say and not right for hearing peoples to hear it so pls keep CC for deaf peoples , be fair thanks
AROUND WORLD DEAFS REALLY NEED CLOSE CAPTION BEC. CANT HEAR & IT REALLY VERY VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL DEAF ON TV , DVD,ETC., WE R REALLY NEED NEED CC ALL TIME ANY NEWS OR WEATHER OR SPORT OR MOVIE OR ANY THK U TF
Please sign this petition to add captions to DVD movies. I thought it was required to add captions to ALL video media for disability access. It's a shame that companies making DVD's have reneged on the commitment to individuals with hearing loss.
my husband and i are strong support on closed captioned for dvd movies and all shows for tv, too..also we would like to have CC for theater movies, too...thanks...
Deaf people enjoy movies as much as anyone else. Please provide closed captions on DVD movies. By doing so, you will gain viewership, increased sales and profits; and besides, it's the right thing to do.
I am a speech/imparied person. I wanted to keep closed captioned on DVD and tape. I use to rent or buy a DVD but mostly of DVD have no closed captioned I got frustrated bec part of movies are good but no closed captioined I want all closed captioned on all DVD and tape.
Please keep closed captioned on DVD movies because I understand what they were saying and educate for reading. My hearing children read close captioned, too.
I am disappointed that many DVD's are not closed captioned. I am also disappointed that many children prgms like Leap Frog, Care Bears, and so on are not closed captioned. I hope that the co's will change that and make all the DVD's closed caption so Deaf people like myself can enjoy more movies on DVD. Also not only does closed caption help Deaf people it helps with learning English. So let's not take away that oppertunity to learn English while watching DVD movies.
Pls don't cut captin closed where we are future need real very important we read for education captin closed on the tv. we really very precious captin closed really very important for us in the future. you should think about it. you couldn't have count deaf people over million over of u.s. states really need captin closed couldn't live without! not fair to hearing people could hear voice everwhere update news!
When everything is CC, the more $$$ is made by all. The movie producers are happy because more are sold. The tv producers are happy because more tv is being watched. So they can sell more commercial time. The commercial people are happy because their product is shared with more people who in turn go buy the product that is advertised. In the end, everyone is happy CC users get the info and buy more...
How can you deny so many people the right to have access to such an important medium.Shame on you!! Do the right thing and provide millions of hearing the pleasures others enjoy.pleasure of enjoying films and T.V shows.Closed Captions are a must.
i would like stay closed captioned on dvd movies bec we are hearing impaired as there is over 50 millions hearing impaired around world that is lots!!!
If you hearing people were in our shoes, you will want the same thing, so we want it!!! My brother and i, including many deaf people I know, cant live without CC. Bring it on!
I am a hearing person with Deaf family members. I myself have relied on closed caption and will not purchase any type of movie without CC.
The Deaf Community have a right just like hearing people to enjoy and understand entertainment. WHY should this even be an issue, it is common sense and can only benefit both parties.
I'm getting tired of hearing stories about the new movies that just came out and not being able to see it until 2 or 3 months later on cassette. Something needs to be done. We deaf people are people too!
Shame on ALL of the people who have the control to offer this service and do not. This should not even be an issue. There is such a thing as a Communication Bill of Rights!!!! "All persons, regardless of the extent or severity of their disabilities, have a BASIC right..." This includes watching television and movies and knowing what is being said. Do these companies realize that Deaf people spend money too!!! This is not the 18th century any longer. Deaf people are people too, give them closed captioning!!
