Some DVD have bonus features including interviewing Directors, Actors and/or Producers; Delete scenes; special effect and so forth. They did not have closed caption at all. I would love to watch all features with full closed caption.
Please add closed caption! How luck are the hearing people have able to hear anything which Deaf have been facing limited of telecommunications which not able to read what is going on the television, movie, and DVD. PLEASE add the Closed Caption on any kind of television program, movie, and DVD!
I prefer Closed Captioned over English Subtitles because people who create the English subtitles aren't experienced and miss out on many important sounds that closed capitioned folks catch!
It is vital to include closed captioning on DVDs for the large portion of citizens who have hearing problems. And for those others who choose not to hear any sound. Thank you.
pls kindly have close caption. i get frustrated when i get movies and find out it's not caption! it's should be open for both hearing and deaf so be considerate and also good for children to learn english- listen and read as well. thanks
I desire that gov't is to treat every citizen's right equally as well as every citizen has the right to access the education via the media equally. It is time to return its original Closed Caption purpose in remaining its ADA position. Thank you for bringing your attention to our concerns of needs.
After graduating from H.S. and a year in college, I was so glad to have cc on TV, rental movies either VHS or DVD do really help keep me update with everyday phrases, slangs and punchlines that people having conversation that I can be part of. Without it, I will be lost in hearing crowd at the party and can't join in the conversation if I don't know what they mean or talking about. Please consider with your kind heart and support the Deaf & Hard of Hearing to enjoy and learn through the entertainment that provide closed captioned.
yes it is very important deaf people and my daughter is hearing and first grade. she is learing how to read cc and spell words for her education. thankyou

I just don't get it. Why wouldn't the producers include captioning. How rude. It's not that they can't afford it, or are they so narrow minded that they can't get over themselves?
We need CC on DVD as it is useless if we do not know what the movie is talking about. Try plugging your ears and see if you can follow a movie and understand what it is about.
I ALWAYS WANT CC FOR TV REQUIRES.. ALL DEAFS NEED TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON TV SAY ON CC.. I LOVE CC ON TV ALL MUST BE ON SHOW TV.. AND DVD TOO. BUT I ALWAYS NEED CC ON TV MUST DEMEND IT ALWAYS..ITS GOOD FOR EDUCATIONS USE CC TO READ IT.. THANK U SO MUCH! TAKE CARE
I NEED DVD TO HAVE A CC. SOME OF DVD DON'T HAVE IT WHEN I WANTED TO WATCH MOVIE. I AM SO DEMAND TO HAVE ALL DVD TO HAVE A CC NO MATTER WHAT FOR DEAF PEOPLE CAN READ AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY TALK ABOUT IT.
Please provide the CC. Otherwise, we can save tremendous amount of money by omitting the sounds on all TV's, Videos, DVD's. It is very frustrating to try to watch any program without the CC as I am hard of hearing. KEEP CC!!!!!
Sometimes the subtitling does not always cover every sounds, cuz for those forgieners they could hear phone ringing or car honking, and those such noises. Not us the deafies.
Movies, I love them and having subtitles for old and new movies only make me watch more movies. Hearing and deaf people enjoy watching movies with subtitles and do benefit greatly from this accessibility to our world.
Captions are a necessity for my true understanding of the dialogue in a movie...without it I would be constantly asking for other viewers to repeat what was said and disrupt thier viewing of the movie. It is a NECESSITY for those of us with a hearing loss. Thank you for your support in seeing that all DVD and Videotapes are captioned. Joan
It can't be that bothersome to add close-captioning...but I wish that whoever is doing the typing would take the job a little more serious...it's bad enough to not be able to hear - the typist cannot spell...the "well-eared" people do not take this as a serious subject...try it for just an hour...
Having closed captions stay on benefits for everybody (deaf and hearing). CC also helps with reading which is viable to everybody. Deaf should have the equal rights just as hearing do.
Why shut down our way of receiving conversation/communicatio n? Won't you want anyone to shut down the voice/audio communication of the world as well???
