My son along with many others deserve the right to have CC on all programs and at the Theaters..California has a movie theater that is CC. Try wearing ear plugs and wathcing a movie and see how much you enjoy it!!!!!
I support this petition of closed captioned in DVD. Few DVD movie doesn't have closed captioned and we use subs but it was not enough as full statement like phone ringing and music, etc. It's important for us to understand what the movie said and how it happened.
we have deaf family and use closed capitoned on DVD and VHS all of time. we understand what are movies story about..we enjoy watch them with closed captioned if without CC we definity do not know what the movies story about.. huh.. please keep all closed captioned on DVD and VHS any anywhere!!
Having access to captioned information on TV is important to me because I like to maintain active citizenry in the community. Staying informed is one important way for me as an active neighbor. Since 1981, I have been grateful that I enjoy the TV news and program on the same level as the hearing TV viewers. Please make an effort to safeguard this right for the benefit of deaf Americans.
We need Captions in the movie theaters... Even though I'm hard of hearing and can understand some words, Not all, but some, we still need captions in the theater, not just for hearing or hard of hearing, but it's also not fun to go without friends or deaf people who miss out on movies in theaters.. Why wait to see a movie when it comes out on rent or to buy when we want to see in playing on the big screen.. It needs to change.
Although I can hear, I can only imagine how those who can't must feel..they have the same right as hearing people to fully enjoy TV. The option of enabling or disabling closed captioning should be available to all people regardless of hearing status. Sometimes people want to watch TV without sound, i.e.:, sleeping children, hospital rooms and any other environment that requires quietness but allows relief from boredom.
I want the movies to be closed captioned so we, all the deaf people can enjoy the movies and not be bored in the movies just like to look at the pictures and etc.. So pls have closed captioned on...
I agree support. I want to watch movies in the theater, but all theater don't have CC. Oh that means I have to wait for movie to be rent for months. Do you like to wait for anything? NO! My family want me to go to theater with them then I said,"I don't want to." Please put CC in theaters in all over world. I agree with Barry Priori.
Yes, closed captioning is a must. However, quality closed captioning is only achieved by cart reporters, not computer software. Let us strive for accuracy with quality closed captioning.

pls take the time to consider how much revenue is lost by not having closed captions on the dvd's, the deaf and the hard of hearing are a source of income, but if not captions are on the dvd's then no profit from the target group that you are neglecting. get it?
Yes,I prefer as require to have a closed-caption on dvds because I could understand everything means everthing which make comfortable to watch any movies very joyfully,grin.
I strongly believe that closed captions should be in DVDs because we, deaf people can enjoy the movies same as hearing people. DVDs also should be accessible to all individuals! If you want to be equal with all people then I suggest you to turn the volume off!
