You know in hearing world, there are more to life for them to enjoying all the things that they do. If you do not continous to produce CC for DVD,TV Shows, VHS, or others, we would be more despression and unfair. Those CC helps to the deaf commuinity in the U.S. to enjoying and understanding what the meaning of CC provide them to help a better world and better eduction for deaf children in the U.S. I hope the FCC will continous to use CC for future needs. yes all and every shows or movies on DVD, VHS and TV shows should be closed captioned. It felt unfair when hearing people is free to hear everything on them when we deaf people don't understand without CC. pls have all of them CC on

Hey, CC is most important for deaf people. They buy a DVD movies. Also DVD Tv shows too. " The Bionic Woman" needs CC too bad, because a lot of deaf people wanted to buy it.

I am deaf and request closed caption for all dvd or vcr or tv, no matter what. it is important for deaf world to understand conversation from dvd or it s a shame and a waste for not having closed caption on dvd.it's called discrimiation because of no closed caption. please have all the closed caption on into dvd or vcr. deaf people use their eyes to watch the tv not their hearing because they are full deaf. thanks.
I think everything should be in closed caption for the deaf to enjoy they have every right just as much as the hearing to be able to enjoy anything they want to watch.
Hi Folks , I do agree with what everybody is saying about CC .
Deaf and HOH people need to know everything that is going on in the news and tv shows , in VHS and DVD movies just like hearing people we might need the CC for a long time for us deaf , HOH people and childrens of all age.
CC to enriches the language and education for all ages .
first of all is petitions that i read several messages from deaf people who are from over the place , I am hoh we provide to please leave our cc on for requiring moive, tv and dvd and why we all of us are working and pay the taxes where the money go ?? all guys asnd gals suppose to tell president bush stop to spending $$$$ to war !!.
Limiting my use of computer, I can't lipread nor speak. Captioning is solely only way I relate myself to whole world cultures. Absence of captioning in few programs is still a communicative abuse and oppression against two things--against freedom of speech among Deaf folks like myself and against human's right of obtaining knowledge of what is going on around me. Denial me of captioning is like denial me of healthy milk bottle to grow healthily and naturally. Remember that I was alcoholic fetus and infant whom my hearing culture mother put whiskey in milk to shut me down to sleep in darkness almost all the time, denying me of normal human growth including my screaming as my way of telling my mother that I had dizzy attacks until time I become four years old. I won't forget what hearing culture ignorant authorities did to me and others of today which will be written in history about what hearing culture authorities like you denied deaf people just like hearing men denied of women of their human rights. Behalf of Deafies and Hearing Impaired, we suggest all dvd to be close captioned.....
Hearing people hear the voice/noise, etc from their ears....We, Deafies' eyes are our ears, hear anything from our eyes.... So please make by law to have all dvd to be closed captions...

close captioning is such an inexpensive way to inform so many americans, it should not be cut at all; cc should be increased in its use to include a lot more programming on tv and in the movie industry.
hey don't remove cc on any dvds/vhs because there are roughly 30 million hard of hearing people in america so whoever plans to remove cc could lose alot of $$$$$ so they have no second thought!!!! keep cc ALIVE forever... spread to other deafies/hard of hearing to sign up more quicker... thanks
Please seriously consider adding captions to your DVDs. It is important for everyone to have equal access to all media venues. You will definitely increase the amount of business you get from consumers who benefit from closed captioning.
