you are abusing us if you remove the closed captioned from the DVD.
You treated us unfairly. You have to understand our needs and understand
what it's been saying. We can't read lips all the time or if their faces away
from the camera. We wouldn't know what it was been said. Have compassion
for us deafies also hard of hearing like me. Sometimes I can't hear the words
clear enuff to understand and depends on CC also. Thank you!
Without closed captioning I don't bother to watch t.v.or movie programs because I can't enjoy them without c.c. So PLEASE continue captioning ALL programs. Thank you.
English is mandatory for all us Deaf to acquire our standard communication with others so therefore, English spoken into Closed Captioned is MANDATORY to be existed in everything for us all, likewise.
With respect to dvd's - I don't buy them if there is no "CC" on the package! Movies in theaters should also provide CC as well as all programs on TV, especially local news, traffic and weather reports!!

Please put CC on DVD so that we can enjoy the shows that we want to watch even with our friends who aren't deaf. When there's no CC, we, the deaf people feel left out! We want to be a part of everything that's out there in the world....

I have a right to know what is being said on the TV screen as much as anybody else. I have a right to enjoy a movie as much as anybody else. I have a right to feel angry when my rights are disregarded, just like anybody else.
It is very important to keep CC because I love movies..I don't like subtiles because I have low vision and it is hard to read light letters. Feel comfortable to read letters in black background. PLEASE don't ever remove CC because we have the rights. It is good education for us to learn more new words and beneftis improvement our English and reading. I beg you don't remove CC.

I'm Deaf. It's very important to have every dvd to have closed caption just the same idea with VHS. I believe that VSH will be less used in the future and dvd is more popular now. im watching dvd movies. please to have closed caption on every dvd.

Please listen to us so that we may enjoy the same rights that everyone who is hearing has while watching DVD Movies. And not only DVD Movies-but anything that is visual on TV, video, DVD, and computers, etc should be closed captioned.
I think all programs should have closed captioning. I am hearing but my husband is deaf. I find it frustrating when a show does not have captioning as it is unfair to my husband. I would love to be able to go to the movies but whats the point if he don't have the cationing so he can understand.
As we are shifting to DVD media for vewing, we should be more focused on the accessibility on all DVD releases available. You will notice that DVD's from 20th Century, Warner Brothers, and some other major studios are "half-caption ed." This means that only theaterical movie are captioned. Remaining videos, such as bonus, "making of" featurette, deleted scenes, documentaries and many more ARE NOT captioned! 20th Century are now putting kind of disclaimer about some bonuses not being captioned. That is not fair. Actually, it's not fair! They are actually blocking us from something that we want to know. Bonus features are usually educational, explaining about what's going on in the production, what's wrong with deleted scenes, etc.
Once DVD is released to public, we need to ensure that everything on the disc MUST BE FULLY captioned!

Closed Captioned are very important to deaf people cuz that's how they including me understand what the movies are all about. ADD CLOSED CAPTIONED on all VHS and DVD movies!
Please set up all movies with closed captioned. Also Little House on the Prairie Session 1,2 and 3 have no closed captioned but Session 4,5,6& 7 have closed captioned so it need to be revised please... Also all TV, Theater and DVD/VHS all closed captioned....
That's fine. But what about the movie theaters? They are way worst than C.C.!! I had been frustrated with the theaters for not supporting subtitles. I wanted to go out like many people does. It forced me to wait 6 months for the dvd to come out!
It would do the producers and directors of films some good to remember that we as a deaf community are a very significant consumer base. If we all withdrew our consumer suport for their products that are not Closed Captioned, that is going to be less money in their pockets. My wife and I avoid going to movie theatres unless the film is OPEN CAPTIONED and we will do likewise if DVDs are NOT captioned; we will simply refuse to rent them, thus removing ourselves as consumers and spending that money elsewhere that IS DEAF friendly.

pls enable our deaf and hard of hearing citizens to enjoy the pleasure of movies, dvd's and tv programs with captioning. It is also a learning tool for the young children and people of other nationalities to learn the English language. I am deeply concerned as a parent of a deaf adult. The news and weather alerts have to be captioned for them so their safety is recognized. When evacuations and weather alerts happen they have to have this link to know just like our hearing people do. Please pass this law for the demand is increasing day by day.
I can't live without closed captions! No closed captions on DVD, TV shows and theatres will be like "end of the world" for deaf communites!
Im a daughter to 2 wonderful deaf parents and growing up I watched movies or t.v. shows with CC. I can't see my parents watching t.v without it. It is hard to have to watch movies without CC and explain to someone who is deaf whats going on in the movie. Open your eyes and see how important CC is too the deaf community...Thanks
Closed cpationing is very important to deaf people. We enjoy watching cc movies.Without cc, we will be lost. Please help us supporting cc in movies, televisions and etc.
