IF a President of United States of America loss his hearing ability, and this petition will autommatically win! BUT, either if a President of United States of America is deaf or not...WE ALL PEOPLE need those high-leveled technologies including closed captioning! Gosh, we are in a 21 Century and the inventers are still making some of crazy ideas to improve our life stability, or preference in any style in life we wanted! Yes, I am mentioning that we demand closed captioning technology in our deaf communities! I hope those moviemakers and producers support this petitions! Because they are an artist, and they are people who work too hard to entermain our hearing AND deaf viewers, so- they will add closed captioning in any DVD or VHS or Theatrical movies! I will definately do something if you decline this petition... I will be watching you.

We need CC so we can be like others and know whats going on in the world today and the movies as well as part of conversations with family and friends.. to take that away from us is not fair!!!

I am an disablity of Cerebral Palsy in a wheelchair and Deaf too. I really needed any closed capation as real live on the news in case, TV Shows, Movies, and many others too.
Not only is captioning necessary for people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. My mom uses it all the time and she hears just fine. You have my full support!
If you were me as deaf person along well others deaf and hard of hearing people and how will you feel about this so please accept this as we need close captions along with dvd and vhs movies for good.
I hire and buy the DVD with Closed Capitioned because I enjoy watching the movie with Captioned and it is really help that I can follow what that were saying even the music and the songs I loved reading out what they say. I love Dvd and please keep the closed captioned it is vital for me and other people including those who have lost hearing.
I have a deaf sister and brother-in-law who need closed-captioning. Also, my grandmother used it before she died as her hearing got worse and worse as an old person and hearing aids didn't help. Thank you.

mcleod's daughters" is not available with captions.many of my deaf friends also complain that some of the movies they would love to see are not captioned.I wonder if hearing people can help by petitoning for captions.

I want every DVDs no matter what kind of movies they are. Such as documentary, movies, tv shows. Also, I DEMAND that special features to be captioned too!!
I simply cannot tell you what it means to me to be able to have captioned tv and movies. I have always been left out the humor, plots, stories and facts simply because no one wanted to repeat everything to me. Please keep captioned tv and movies! Please!
How do these moviemakers expect everybody to buy their movies if they refuse to offer closed captioning for the general public, specifically Deaf people, foreigners, and senior citizens?? This is ridiculous!
In today';s society this shoulkd not even be a mnatter of discussion! Everything should be CC for those who are hearing impaqired. As a matter of fact this is an asset to any kind of filming for with CC hearing individuals who may have a hearing loss or are unable to understand somewthing in the movie can now read the CC themselves; this is a bonuis for such individuals!
while many deafies would normally look for the cc on dvd's or vcr's before renting them and what's frustrating for me is that when it cames to other extras besides the movie they are usually not captioned as i never have seen any with cc and i work at a group home and i can see how cc even help my clients read too thanks
all DVD's must have closed captioned for the deaf or hearing impaired or hard of hearing that needs to learn how to read as part of their education also... and we all want to understand what they saying in the movies (DVD's)... but without the Closed Captioned, we will get boring without understanding on the movies at all... we all are depending on this Closed Captions forever......Please continue using the Closed Captioned on DVD's forever!!!!!!
I rent or buy DVD, the Deaf movie goer, and Deaf TV watchers without Closed Captioned, it's very unfair!! Please MUST closed captioned on movies, DVD, and the TV program for the Deaf people's sake! The movie producer should respect the Deaf who want to have the rights Closed Captioned. It importantly helps to read better improvement.
With captions I can live my life over again. I can go back and see old movies I saw when I was young which had no captions. It would be terrible to destroy such an opportunity to relive one's life.

And do not baby the captions. I don't want my son to get words out of a movie that I do not get just because I am deaf. I am the father.
Not only are captioned dvd's good for families, but for schools and educational institutions as well.
Imagine--the world is full of deafies and only 28 million of hearing in the world can survive without a voice/sound in the dvds movies music or everything else...I am sure they will go out of control.. maybe the world will blown...so.. This is about an Equality. All media or whatever are required for our needs. CC is most important to us in our lives because it helps to educate the deaf children and adults to improve their education ability just same as hearing people... AND, in the consistution, the government or Federal can;t remove CC from our ADA;s right. We all have our own right, we want to keep cc then leave it be.. CC is expensive, i believe, but hello.. if the businesses or movies want to make more money then add cc in it.. so they can get double-benefited!
SIMPLE, all CC are required no matter what!
Please DVD and VHS and programs of TV MUST have Closed Captions for anybody who would like to read without sounds... IT is very good for people to improve their reading.. Don't stop and block the C.C. for DVD or VHS and programs of TV... Thanks so much
oh come on! if you can translate the spanish!..and subtitle too!!..we should have our share too!!..we all are equivalent to the hearing spanish!! and other languages!!...let us deaf and hearing impaired have this captioned on DVD's we love to watch DVD as much to those hearing people too!!....deaf and hearing impaired populations are getting bigger and bigger!!!!!.....
