we must know what they say. Hearing people hear everything not us
we can't read lip so fast. we must read the words to help our understand ing what they talk about
We need to watch on DVD with CC because we are interested to learn everything in the story. We do not bother any hearing person to help us what says. If no CC, we will refuse to rent or buy DVD while they may be losing their business.
Don't be very selfish please let Deaf use closed captioned all the time and let hearing people be patient with us we can't help to be Deaf God made us!!! we can't live without words we must know what is going on this world news Please be fair with us !!!
Until Closed Captioning was available on television, I was unable to watch TV. Now, we have colleges that do not caption educational videos and college libraries without any captioned VHS or DVD material. I'm shut out, again and this time, unlawfully so.
OH my God.. we, deaf world cannot functioning understand without captioned.. it is a MUST have CC. Once we have CC.. cant stop ..its like... can you hearing turn off your ears for rest of your life?
Without CC in all tv or dvd or vhs. it no use to watch or watch tv or rent dvd. Pls. keep C in all the tv, dvd or vhs all the time so the deaf can enjoy as the hearing person can hear what they are saying. Why do deaf be different-not allowed to have enjoying in their pleasures.
I rather have this cc bec i can read and same as hearing hear it and being fairs others deaf and hard of hearing need it cc so badly and dont left out on us. we will come back strike again thanks
Also, they should CC some movie theater movies, at least showcase one movie per weekend with closed captioning!!!!!! They did this once for Titantic and never again that I've seen.
It is a sad thing but we have to kick butt to get some uncaring people to wake up.They may hear fine now,but deafness and hearing loss can happen to anyone,anytime and learning without close captioning they will find is a slow death.

Come on! I feel that we the Deaf are left in the dark ages! Without CC, I have no life, and I rent DVDs every week because it is my only entertainment. Keep the captions on! Do not put us on the back burner! I will be dead, also. Enough said?How about removing the Spanish-speaking? It would tick off all the Spanish-speaking people! It goes same with the Deaf if you remove the captions.Please take a moment and think about it wholeheartedly.
I am a strong advocate for closed caption for ALL TV programs and DVDs, video, etc. I think we should have choices to decide what we watch, when we watch, and how we watch. It seems as though the producers are deciding what programs are in closed captions. I give 100% support on this.
Yes, please leave CC on dvd moives, tv shows, and theaters too. I reading CC alot from tv shows and dvd moives. my english is very important for me learning and understand what they means. also deaf and hard of hearing people too. please leave CC on.
If no Closed Captioned I will be dead! The world means to me NOTHING! Why we cant have TV while hearing can? Deaf can read and learning what the world going on and I am thankful for the organzations charity but please continue....Thank you!
CC is not only benefitful to the deaf population, it also helps English as Second Language. CC is known to improve people's reading skills as well. There, you can see the advantages of CC. Don't tarnish CC!
I must have CC for me to read and understand what they are saying. If no CC how can Deaf and Hard of Hearing people read their lips when they move around or turn around even we can't see their lips so it best to have CC!! it helps us to understand. CC helps the sound to tell Deaf and Hard of Hearing what it is the sound from that way they know it. It really worth it! Please respect us we need CC Thanks for understand Smile!
You should know better than that for not having cc on dvds. It's a big requirement for the deaf people. It's like you gotta have pen/pencil to write something on...right? Please consider that as a favor for us....thanks!
IT'S TOUGH TO IMAGINE IF OUR CC SERVICES HAD BEEN STOPPED. EVER SINCE C.C. HAD BEEN A PART OF OUR LIVES. WE WILL BE SO MISREABLE WHEN IT'S TAKEN AWAY FROM US.

If Deaf people can't have closed caption then hearing people should turn off the volume to see what it is like not being able to understand what's the story is about.
Yeah, true example, I collect Steven Seagal dvd collection. Two new 2005 movies dvd doesnt have English subtitles or closed captioned.But the rest of Steven Seagal dvd movies have English subtitles and closed captioned.. its not make any sense to me.
we the deaf ppl should have the same right as the hearing people have. if they are able to hear the television then we should be able to "hear" the television w/ closed caption.

I think that CC is good for the deaf, hard of hearing, and the hearing people ( if they want to. ) If there was no such thing as CC for the HOH and the deaf, then only the hearing people would be able to REALLY understand what is going on but for the HOH and the deaf it is like a game of charades!

All DVDs should have closed captioning (CC). It is unfair that a group of American citizens are prevented from the enjoyment and education provided by these movies and documentaries when it would be so easy to include them with the closed captioning technology. Not only Deaf and hard of hearing people benefit from CC, it is also a great help for people learning to read and can help all of us in the situation where the speaker/actor is hard to understand because of speech problems, foreign accents or a soft voice. As our population ages there will be more of us with age related hearing problems. The younger portion of our population is working on their own self-induced hearing loss through the use of loud boomboxes. We need the CC to be universally available NOW.

We are for all kinds of technologies supporting the deaf and hard of hearing people that enables to meet our needs of communications and the closed captioned are the most important information they ever have and a must or we will be gone back to the deaf communities without what is going on. We want to encourage to those who are making them to continueing doing those things for the best of the deaf communities. I notice that there is no closed captions on second disc - extras like interviews, behind the scenes, and short bio's. Cloased captions would wonderfully help all of us deaf and HOH people to understand what's going on! Support us! Thank you.
wE ALL HAVE TO COMPLAINT TO FCC THAT WE PAY CABLE TAX AND FCC TAX,TOO, REMEBER GOV'T IS ONE NOT TO HELP US TO MAKE LAW STRONGER UNLESS WE STOP PAY TAX TO FCC AND THEY WILL PEUSADE ALL COMPANY TO COMPLY WITH FCC LAWS WITH ADA and sec. 508,,,, they should be all equal with all movies with closed caption on all of it no except et cetera , it is law require for them to comply with dvd and tv , too. Viva closed caption!!!
