Deaf people are deaf - NOT dead!! They, too, enjoy the luxury of being able to view a movie as much as a hearing person - maybe even more! This feature must be protected so that people like my Mother can lead a semi normal life. It is her right as a human being. It is not much to ask.
I am deaf. I like DVD's is very much better. I dislike VHS whole bad problems always garble on the VCR messed up from C.C. conflict... What is important a new technology system on the DVD lovely with me so forever! I required the Closed Captioned with DVD is so beautifully better than VHS etc. Let's vote: PLS KEPT STAYS FOREVER!!!
Im Deaf and I want Keep CC for DVD, VHS, Tv and many more. It is not fair for Hearing people hear what begininng said but not Deaf can'tunderstand it

i agree all the tv movies,, shows,,live shows,,News,, Etc. some of movies on tv has CC and some don't have CC at all. i wish all programs of any kinds include CC !! Don't take it off ,, keep on the CC !! We deaf and hard of hearing need it to know what going on the movies is about makes enjoyable to watch. As for DVD disc ,if DVD don't have CC then i do'nt buy it for myself and for my lady.Don't give up CC!! We need it !!

It is not fair that hearing folks can hear what is going on tv if we dont have closed caption. do you think hearing folks like to be bother if we ask them what does the tv says? think about it. We will be lost without it. Closed caption is the best thing for tv shows, movies and many more for all the for all the deaf
people and deaf children.
As a Deaf person I prefer subtitles BETTER than CC. Sadly, many DVDs with only CC does not work. BUT still all movies and TV shows on DVD MUST be subtitled, especialy the "Special Features" of the DVD.

Please give all the deaf and hearing impaired a chance to enjoy and understand whenever closed captions are used. Even many normal hearing people enjoy the closed captions, too.

There is NO federal law requiring all DVDs and TV shows to be closed-captioned. I prefer that everything on DVDs, VHS or any other format (should it come up something new in the future) to be closed-captioned and in upper case and that every audio including backgrounds to be closed-captioned. That closed-captioning to be included and that closed-captioned is the first option. I noticed with Universal Home Video, they choose to use English subtitles as "captioned for the Hearing Impaired" which is not acceptable. They should include closed-captioning and English subtitles as the second option. English subtitles are fine for any foreign language movies. That the distributors, studios, TV networks not to use subtitles as an option over closed-captioning. No closed-captioning on anything on TV or Home Video is a REAL problem and we need to fight. Contact your senators, house of representatives, etc., in your area for the support. They are the ones that make the laws. TAS.
We the deafies are demanding to have closed-caption, because we need it to understand what the movie is about. Without it, we are so lost. I had been buying some dvds, I was disappointed to find out that there is no closed-caption or subtitles. Had to return it to the store for a refund. too much hassles. :(
There are several titles should be captioned on DVDs. I was been a fan of science fiction series, Lexx. I have watched them captioned on SciFi channel, but I'm very disappointed to find them without caption or subtitles on DVD sets.

this is all about for people with disablities. We, the lawmakers of American with disabilites act, supposed to follow and provide an access to communication and comphensive the DVD with Closed captioned.

i noticed some hearing spanish people who lives in america can't read english well but they cam get a lot of rental dvd that has trans.. voice for spanish. not fair since they aren't original america. i feel america do think abt spanish people than deaf people
keep the closed caption on DVD movies. Do u know why we want keep Closed Caption on DVD?? Because we are pay rent or buy a DVD!!! its not fair because other people can hearing on TV, DVD, Moive ect..... U know better ... think about it!!!
Closed-Caption/DVD Subtitles is the best thing for everyone. Why? my children (5 and 3) already reading books and they are ready for school. Deaf people likes and needs to know what being said. Other foreign people can learn read and speak English. How about watching tv, movies, speeches, etc without sounds would that benefits you hearing people? NOT! So, please keep Closed-Captions/DVD Subtitles going for the benefits of everyone
We all agree to vote to keep Closed captioned alive for Deaf's sake! We want to be equal like hearing people because Hearing people can hear that we can't hear. That is not fair to Hearing people get everything than we have right now.

I feel that Closed Captions on any VHS and DVD are strong issues for deaf and hard of hearing people. We have right to have all of languages to be in these VHS or DVD because we need to understand what the movie or another video say. Also, Closed Caption or Subtitles do help people to learn how to read and write. I feel unfair when one of these DVD has French or Korea subtitles but no English. I need people to understand our right to have any languages in it. I hope they'll realize it. Thanks.
I want those all movies by major motion pictures like Paramount have together MTV including: Laguna Beach, and it would be possible to released for Beavis and Butt-head won't be captioned?? That would a big threaten for us, I can't live if not caption on Beavis TV show, I would could be heartbroken, or maybe I will move in another time, I MUST OWN MY TIME
