I support this petition because I do have children and they need to be aware there is consequences for your actions.. Good kids.. wasn't one on probation????
I support this petition.it's sad to see these boys who admit there guilt enjoy everyday unlike the man who lost his life.they laugh and smile in court because they know they are protected by our criminal system.what will they get for there crime a slap on the hand.how would this judge feel if it were his son or daughter that was beaten?would that person be granted bail?i think not!!!!our families thoughts and prayers are with you family we are sorry for your loss.
As young offenders on a manslauter conviction there likey only going to recieve three years and will only have to serve 1/3 of that because of our parole system. The Judge presiding over the case had the power to hold them in custody but choose not to and thats where it stops. Should manslauter laws be changed, aboslutely will the Government of Alberta or Canada here our voice for change, never not while Lawyers run our country.
I support this petition. We the public are the ones that have to change the young offenders laws as they are too leniant. They should all be kept in custody until their trial. Canada has got to change their laws for all criminal offences as they are all too leniant.
I support this petition. It appears that many of the members of our legal system need a little direction as to 'how' to interpret our laws. A little common sense, and some sensitivity towards the victims might help.
What these four are alleged to have done disgusts me! Of course, I know, in the courts, they're presumed innocent until proven guilty - but we all know! Throw the books at them.
I support this petition. Those kids should be charged with second degree murder not manslaughter. What like of Justice system do we have to let these kids out on bail when they are purely guilty. God bless Conley.
I support this petition. Custody is not just for potential repeat offenders. It serves as a reminder to those accused that laws are to protect people and to be respected. Respect - that's what these kids do not have.
I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PETITION....what about the fact that we are all innocent UNTIL proven guilty...yes, i agree that this was a despicable act, but, we must lte our "justice" systen run its course....
I support this petition. FOUR YES FOUR PUNKS GANG UP ON ONE PERSON BEAT THE PISS OUT OF HIM TILL HIS HEART STOPS? SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM IN THE "REAL JAIL" THEIR GOING TO END UP IN!!!!!
I support this petition. When the four teens turned themselves in, they admitted their involvement in this murder. They should be held in jail until the courts decide their long term fate. And although the public is not privy to know all the circumstances there was enough evidence to charge them with manslaughter. They should be held in custody
I totally support this petition. It is high time these young people realize that there are consequences to every action taken. This has nothing to do with "proven innocent until guilty", they did the crime, they don't deserve bail/
I FULLY support this petition. I wonder how the judge who allowed them to be released would feel if his/her own family member was the victim of such a vicious assault by a group of obvious LOSERS.
I support this petition. It does not matter how old they are, they are old enough to know that killing someone is wrong. They do not deserve their freedom.
I support this petition. They should not go free. They commited a crime, they said they were involved. They should stay behind bars till their trial. They should be charged, put in jail for a long time as the Government should start setting a presidence for these crimes.
These 4 individuals, regardless of age, chose to beat a man they did not know, a man they had no reason to hurt. I am sickened by the family and friends going on tv and saying how decent these people are. Decent people don't kill others!
I support this petition. A crime this serious deserves serious consequences. These teens do not deserve to go back to their lives after they so heartlessly took a life from another.
