Kids who kill are damaged and capable of all kinds of horrendous things. We need to say no to violence, in our homes, on our streets. Locking these souless young men up is a start.

These thugs should not be running free. The limitations put on them are a joke, given the actions and attitudes of thier friends!! Murderous behavior should not be rewarded by letting them out on bail. Lock them up and throw away the key.
I support this petition. I believe these four young men should be given the "MAXIMUM" penalty for this crime, what is the world coming to if innocent people are not even safe on a bus, for heaven's sake!!! May God forgive them, because I am sure I wouldn't be able to!!!

Actions without accountability lead to the degradation of society as a whole. The time to address this is NOW, not when things get beyond control. I would also suggest we're one very small step away from being "out of control". Let's not hesitate in revoking bail for these criminals. Only then will the youth of today absorb the message that with murder and other criminal acts comes dire consequences. By the way, I am a driver with ETS and my safety along with the safety of my passengers will only be further compromised without action being taken to assure peace abiding citizens that criminals will be held responsible for their actions. At the age of 16 I certainly knew that kicking someone in the head and/or beating on them was wrong. My parents raised me with a sense of right and wrong. Are we to believe that the youth of today are so ignorant and/or poorly raised as to not understand the basic precepts of right and wrong? I suppose parents will have to look long and hard at how they are raising their children when not one of these youth had the presence of mind to try and stop their peers from committing such a violent act.

I just can't believe this... how can there be 16 people on the bus and the only thing they do is just watch someone get beaten to death, its a disgrace, its weird how our society is so self centered, we just care about ourselves and dont give a dam about anyone else, all passengers on bus sat there watching like the beating like an action movie, I blame people on the bus for leaving him die some passengers on the bus left before the police came, that is totally coward and irresponsible act.What made me more angry is that those 4 "Young Offenders" who brutally murdered a passesnger for no apparent reason are now free with there family, or even causing more trouble. I support this as believe the youth of our country are literally getting away w/murder! I am tired of the reasons...alcohol, drugs, gang bangers...enough is enough!! I support this petition. the young offenders act is a disgrace. it should be done away with or the age should be reduced to 12 years of age, although everyone of us know right from wrong before this age. these people should also be tried as adults. i also think capital punishment should be reinstated for serious crimes such as homicide, rape, and armed robbery. this could serve as a good deterant for these types of useless citizens!

A man is dead on a bus,killed brutely by four men who did not hestitate to carry out their actions infront so many fellow passengers.And then they are let out on bail. Is this the right message we are sending to the younger generation? that you can kill someone and then pay money to walk freely on the streets again?
I support this petition. Criminals seem to have all the rights and victims none. Alberta has let many murderers off with nothing lately, some who were drivers of cars. People saw these teens beat this innocent man. All 4 are responsible for his death. Why are courts defending barbaric acts in this province? The normal citizen doesn't have any protection. Their parents should not even ask for them to be free after committing such a heinous act.
