I support this petition with everything in me!! Not only is our judicial system need an overhauling so does the young offenders act. Is there any doubt these 4 are guilty of a crime..no matter what "substance" they may have ingested? They should be held in custody until the trial no matter how long it takes, then they should be dealt with as adults.Canadians are not dumb nor ignorant, it has long been known that there is more protection than there should be for the "criminal" over the victim. I feel very sorry for what this gentlemens family and friends are going through and it should not be allowed to happen again. Someone in the government and judicial system needs to step up to the plate and have the balls to do so!!

I support this petition. 80% of the Constitution of this country covers the rights of the criminals, not the rights of the victim. My children are supposed to have the right to walk outside at night without getting shot, and certainly take a city bus without having to have severe ramifications such as death. I understand that the government tries to refrain from right wing approaches, but in being too liberal with our approaches we also put ourselves at risk.
