I support this petition. This bail is ridiculous and shouldn't of been even thought of. These 4 offenders should be punished for what they did not be free to do it again. If they did it once they will do it again. They should pay for what they did because of them Stefan William Conley is dead and will never be able to enjoy his life with family and friends again. The justice system should punish the bad and reward and help the good. Just because these 4 offenders are young they wern't to young to kill and than run from justice. RIP Stefan William Conley!!!

I support this petition fully. When there are no actual punishments - and the criminals no matter how young they are 'get breaks' - they never learn - our justice system is a joke. It protects the criminals - not the innocent anymore. The actual sentance to these murdering thugs will also be a joke - the least the law courts could do is to revoke the conditional release of the murderers. At least for the victims family's sake.

I support this petition fully & honestly. I understand the laws of "innocent until proven quilty" but .. there were witnesses on the bus that will come forward & honestly say.. they seen the 4 boys kill Mr.Conely. So don't think cause their young they need to get off.. what is our society coming to.. when you can kill a man and get away.. lead healthy. normal lies.
Those boys should have been behind bars just for laughing at their court appearance. Give me a break.. They deserve everything they get. Do the right thing..

Let's not dress this petition up in notions of justice and collective rights. This petition is about revenge. We want pure, emotional, illogical, revenge, and it is our right to want it. Let's not dress it up in BS since anyone with half a brain knows emperical data shows time and time again that has shown that harsher punishments don't prevent crime, since criminals don't consider that they may get caught in the first place.

I support this petition. Today's system of justice caters to the defendants more than the victims. This time of easy release and ridiculously soft punishment must be changed.
I do NOT support this petition.
WHEN these kids are sentenced for manslaughter they will be entitled to time served x 3 for the time spent in custody before conviction.
This means if they get 10 years each for Manslaughter and spend a year in custody before conviction (and they WILL be convicted) they will get 3 years credit for time served and will then only have to serve 2 more years before being entitled to parole.
In the end they would only serve 3 years of a 10 year sentence. I want them to spend MORE time behind bars for this horrendous crime.
A more realistic petition would be to get the laws changed to better punish these teens and to remove the protection granted to them by the Young Offenders act.
It was not a surprise for me when I heard about the bail release.I knew those guys will somehow make it to the roads again becoz they are in a country which is rich economically but very poor in upholding basic justice.Come on!what more you want? The charge on these fellows should be that severe,which'll be a lesson for all the others out there!
I support this petition. As a mom of twin teenage boys I feel we as parents and a community need to show all teen agers that there are consequences for our actions. Acting out in anger as these youth did cannot be allowed. And as much as I love my boys and they are good kids, if this was them, I would make sure they serve their justice due. Edmontonians and Canadians must stop youth violence to save our next generation.
