People who do things like this need to be made accountable. I do not care if they didn't think they were going to kill the person. Anyone or group that would gang up on a person and beat them like that need to be punished. This kind of behavior can not be excepted.
I support this petition. We need to be more tough on the youth of today, we need to show them that this is unexceptable behavior. I am so outraged that the judicial system has gone so soft on crime.
They should have never been allowed out on bail, they took a man's life. They knew right from wrong. They should have life in prison with no parol. The young offenders act need to be changed, stiffer penalties for crimes. As reported on the news, "they are good kids", EXCUSE ME, good kids don't go out and kill a person. My thoughts are with the family for their loss, not with four teens that commited this insidious crime.
I support this petition. I am outraged at the decision to grant these four thugs bail. What these four hooligans did was despicable. By granting bail in this case, are we not sending a message to the rest of the other would be killers that if you beat someone to death, we will still let you run wild until your trail date? I urge you, our voted officials, to support this petition and recommend to the Solicitor General of Alberta to revoke the bail and put these four killers in jail where they will not have an opportunity to hurt other innocent people.

This sort of behaviour should in no way be encouraged, and that's what we are doing as a society when our justice system allows these misfits to walk the streets after taking another human being's life. If these punks got off so easily, what's to stop others from doing the same or worse. These teens need to be punished severely for this insidious crime.
