I support this petition. Young offenders seem to feel untouchable.They must be shown that the Young Offenders' Act is not a "get out of jail free card". Attacking Mr. Conley was not an accident and the attackers need to be shown that there is a consequence to their actions. The crime committed was far too heinous to allow the accused to mingle in society while awaiting trial. They confessed, for gawd sake! Of course the accused are a danger to the public - they confessed to killing a man on PUBLIC transportation! I'm so sick and tired of these snickering, smiling, cowardly little bastards getting away with crimes under the guise of the ignorance of youth. They knew what they were doing. What the hell was the judge thinking by granting bail?

I wholeheartedly support this petition. It's no surprise that youth in this country have no fear of breaking the law since there are no ramifications for their actions. Adult court and up the charges to 2nd degree murder. Wouldn't it be nice for law abiding citizens if we had a "justice" system that actually punished criminals, regardless of age, rather than the posh hotel system that is paid for by the tax payer?!
I support this petition. I think it's pretty bad when most others know that these MEN(an adult crime can only be committed by adults) are capable of committing a crime like this. A couple of them have recently been expelled from high school, and that doesn't happen for no reason. If they do it once, they can do it again. Release their names to the public so they know who to watch for! Put them away for life.

While I don't ride the particular bus that Stefan Conley did, I am a transit bus rider on occasion, and I strongly believe that these teenagers do the time in jail and be held accountable for their actions. I'm afraid to ride the bus now, and will definately be more on my guard in the future, whether they go to jail or not.
