I support this petition. Send the message to other young punks. Alchohol, drugs or any other lame excuses, should not be used in court as an excuse for their behaviour. For every action we take , good or bad, there are consequences and it is about time that scociety does something about it.
I 100% support this petition. From every crime results a haunting ripple effect that carries horrifying profound consequences.
Let me assure you that their are two judgements ,mans judgement and God's judgement; those teens would be wise to fear Gods judgement the most, for hell is worse then any mans prison.
Every detail of their actions released by the media is beyond sickening, their damage to society is incomprehensible.
Shame on the witness's for not testifying against them in court. They will shiver in fear when God holds them accountable, I guarantee it.
"Thou shalt not Kill".
A Glory to God.
I support this petition. If it was my kid who was invovled with this murder, I would say you do the crime, you do the time. But that would never happen because I raised my kids to respect others.
I strongly support this petition. Laws in Canada desperately need to change making criminals accountable. At this rate our lawmakers are not even accountable.
I support this petition because it is time that the youth of today learn that there are consequences for not respecting your fellow man. When they appeared in court, they were waving to their friends and making light of their misdemeanour.
I feel that this petetion is a step in the right direction. So many teenagers and young people commit criminal acts, thinking that no matter the damage done they are protected from full justice of the law since they are "young offenders". I think this needs to be changed. They need to be punished for taking a man's life to the full extent of the law. I think if they are, it could very well make others about to participate in the same senseless violence they did think twice about what they are doing. There would be nothing for them to hide behind.
I strongly support this petition...these youths(?) should be charged with murder not manslaughter. After the first kick this became a forethought..not unintentional.
I support this petition. The public are not able to identify these individuals. We do not have enough law enforcement to ensure they are following their conditions of bail. Either provide their pictures and names or put them back in the Remand Centre.
I support this petition. So they put "tough" conditions to their bail - big deal. They had no respect for the law before what makes them think they will now?
I support this petition. A blatant disregard for taking a human life should not be rewarded by being set free. They will plead not guilty and we have to prove who delivered the blow that killed Stefan. They will probably not be able to do this and they will walk away from murder. We need to stand up for our rights as citizens. They need to be tried in adult court.
I support this petition. These so called young persons are of no use to society. They have no ideas what the conseqeunces of their actions are. This unfortunately is results of many years of liberal no brains in Ottawa that has given the youth this free ride .
It is an outrage that yet again teenagers are treated as though they aren't responsible for their behaviour. For the sake of Edmonton and Canada our justice system has got to get tougher on them!
I support this petition. It is about time our government gets alot tougher with people who break the laws. Everyone knows that in Canada you don't really have to do the time when you do the crime. Kids especially know this and laugh about it.
I support this petition. Children aren’t as naive as the general public would like to think they are. The children also know how lenient they will be treated because of their age. It's all fun and games, isn't it?
This blatant disregard for human life and contempt for the legal system displayed by these youths is more common than we think. I think the legal system sending a message of no tolerance to these under-age criminals and their parents is long overdue. It's high time the courts paid attention to what's happening with these children and had the courage to put an end to it.
I support this petition.I think the judge should use these four as an example.Throw the book at them.I think all city bus drivers should hold a strike for safer work conditions. If they all stike the city will basically be shut down.
I support this petition. If teenagers think that they can be protected from criminal law, then our laws have to be changed. They are 15, 16, and 17 years old. At this age, one would hope that they've learned the difference between right and wrong and they should be tried as adults.
I support this petition. At an age far younger than in question here I was well aware that stealing crab apples was wrong. Put these snots on ice until they face the music.
I fully support this petition. These teens will not see the wrongness of what they have done unless they are punished for it. By letting them out, the courts are sending the wrong message to other teens.
It is unbelieveable in this day and age that things like this are allowed to happen. It is painfully obvious that these people are a danger to the community, and as a result, should not be allowed to walk free.
It is cases similar to this one that should be huge reasons for lowering the criminal youth age from 18 to 16 - at 16 you are in high school and are expected to start making decisions that will affect the rest of your life, so why is the criminal code any different?
I support this petition. These youths are of age, should know right from wrong and were malicious and totally devoid of compassion. They need to be taught a lesson. The young offenders act is a slap on the wrist and they will not learn the gravity of what they did!
