Shame on the ignorant people that write racist comments on this website. All races are important and beautiful. Hurtful labels should never be applied based on what people should be able to be proud of - their race. It is your job as a parent to protect your child and you should never be criticized for it.
I am a parent also. I am also white. I have never done anything like this before. I will sign this petition because a seven year old was hurt and that is so wrong. I would like to say that ALL of the white people I know use this word as a slang term. The reason we think it is OK is because our close black friends use the word with us. If children are not to be hurt by this everyone of every color should give up this word. I know that this will make some people mad but it is the TRUTH and someone should say it.
