I absolutely love Green Day, don't get me wrong. Their music absolutely rocks, and they're great performers at their concerts. I just have a few problems with them. I personally don't see where they get off talking about all these politics. Billie Joe has no place talking about them seeing as he didn't even finish high school, what could he possibly know about politics? Where does he get his information? the media? b/c we all know how reliable that it (please note the very apparent sarcasm). He always says the same things in his interviews about being against the war, but if you listen, it doesn't even make a lot of sense, and the things that do, he doesn't support well. He just says he's anti-war, and then doesn't expand at all. It's like he doesn't have any good points. I'm not saying that I'm anti-war or for the war, I'm just trying to say that if you have a good point, then make it, and I'd be happy to listen. Doesn't he realize that the reason he's even ALLOWED to all of this is because we fought wars for our rights. We wouldn't have had the freedom of speech that he uses so willingly and then says that he's being disenfranchised by the media...wtf is up with that? Disenfranchised means that rights or immunities are being taken away from you, and it's usually corresponded with voting rights...last i checked none of his rights have been revoked. He can still vote and he can still say whatever he wants. I really love there albums, old and new. American Idiot is really great!! I absolutely love it!! I just really think they shouldn't talk about the war so much in their interviews. And at the concert in London that they taped on their upcoming DVD Bullet in a Bible, he tells the crowd to yell so loud that the "rednecks in America can hear"...I hope that he realizes
