We the undersigned individuals, being true and loyal fans of Dale Earnhardt Jr request that Dale Earnhardt Jr. be allowed to take the number 8 to his new team at Hendrick Motorsports. Dale Earnhardt Jr is the son of the founder of this organization and rightfully should be allowed drive the #8 Chevy. The number 8 was his grandfather's number and he should be allowed to keep it even though he is moving to a new team. In honor of Dale Earnhardt and Ralph Earnhardt we ask that this action be taken quickly and promptly.

It is hurtful and I think if any person who ever loved Dale Sr would know WITH OUT a doubt Dale would NEVER take 8 from Jr no matter how upset with Jr he got. Another thing I think considering what Jr has had to work with. For the past few seasons poor Jr's car has repeatedly broke down and ran like crap. Does Jr give up? HELL NO he is right out there. I would not be surprised if he was a little discouraged who wouldn't be, but he still goes out there and gives us fans his best and I think that's all we have ever asked of him. I would ask all fans to boycot any company that supports NASCAR 8 with any other driver behind the wheel. 8 has and always will be ment for Dale Jr and Dale Jr ONLY!!!!!Good luck Jr and know we all love and support you!
