I think that Diabetes UK should give people their donations back. It is not fair to ask for money from the public, telling them that it will be used in a certain way, but really it is used in the opposite.

Money = Status = Power. It has nothing to do with helping diabetics. Diabetes UK have obviously (and purposely) left this so long so that they'll be entitled to more money. That's all it is about. Sickening.
Diabetes UK shouldn't be allowed to do this. Even if they ask the people who donate to them whether it's ok for them to use their donations like that and they agree, it's still wrong. I think that there should be a new Chief Executive at Diabetes UK, or bring the old one back.
Penny Mordaunt, director of Campaigns at Diabetes UK has issued a statement concerning this matter:
"We've thought about the consequences to him and his daughter but we have a moral duty to our members to recoup as much money as we can".

Further information not included in the Petition Details:
1) All of the Companies Diabetes UK own are dormant. (You can see this when you look at the Companies House records). They have been dormant for 10 years. Diabetes UK use charity money to keep these dormant companies open every year. As these companies are not active (they have no income...) Diabetes UK have to pay a fee every year to Companies House so that Companies House will not shut the companies down.
2) Although there are a few national diabetic charities in the UK, what not that many people know is that the Vice Presidents, Trustees (former and current)... of Diabetes UK, are also a part of them.
3) When forming 'particular' decisions, Diabetes UK use what is known as 'sub-commitees'.
GIVE PEOPLE THEIR MONEY BACK DIABETES UK. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER TO USE MONEY GENEROUSLY GIVEN TO YOU SO THAT YOU CAN 'HELP' DIABETICS SO THAT YOU CAN DO THIS INSTEAD.
This may sound stupid but my dog is like 20 years old and diabetic. If somebody tried to put my dog out on the street I wouldn't stand for it. And he's a DOG. If I had a person in my family who was diabetic and Diabetics UK tried to make them homeless I would make Diabetics UK homeless. This is peoples lives Diabetics UK are messing with. They have no justification for doing this.
Diabetes UK released another press release today about their Chief Executive, Dr Douglas Smallwood: (LOL)
"Diabetes UK are confirming that shortly before Dr Smallwood approved this litigation against this diabetic family and to make them homeless, he did have a diabetic seizure which caused him to whack his head on his desk.
Then (if that weren't bad enough), when his PA tried to feed him a Mars Bar to help raise his blood sugar level, some accidently got stuck in his throat and caused a lack of oxygen to his brain for several minutes. LOL.
Unfortunatley when the paramedics were trying to lift Dr Smallwood into the ambulance, due to a freak gale of summer wind Dr Smallwood was blown off his stretcher into a bush naked (I don't know, his PA decided to strip him for some reason)...
Dr Smallwood did recover (physically, at least).

Reading that made me feel sick. No, not sick due to hyperglycemia, sick with utter disbelief. My entire family is diabetic. It's not just this diabetic family that Diabetes UK are ruining the lives of, it's also mine.
i don't see what diabetes uk are guna gain from doing this. i don't get the point that they're tryin to make. fair enough, they'll get a home and some of their costs back, but how can ANYONE with ANY morals at a CHARITY, a DIABETIC charity, agree with doing this. it is such a waste of money.

I support this petition because when I read that article on the Diabetes UK website about the appointment of the Chief Executive, I noticed that his appointment was quite recently (within the past few years). BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS CHIEF EXECUTIVE! THIS SCUMWOOD IS A MONEY-OBSESSED-FOOL WHO DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT DIABETICS, THEIR DIABETES, THEIR FAMILIES OR THEIR LIFE.
The Queen should not be Patron of Diabetes UK if they are going to waste as much money as they are doing and do something like this. That is disgraceful.
