The cost of Blu-Ray is too high for initial support for non enthusests, making HD-DVD the fall back. HD-DVD has higher standards for quality currently, and the spec is finished where Blu-Ray can change their specs.
Please support HD-DVD! It is obviously the better format for the consumer, Blu-ray is over-priced and a bunch of smoke and mirrors! PLEASE SUPPORT HD-DVD!!!
HD DVD had their HDi interactive content ready from the get-go in all HD DVD players. BD-J, which is imperative for the full interactive experience in Disney releases such as PotC: CotBP and DMC, is not going to be finalized until October 31, more than a full year after Blu-ray was introduced to the market.
Support HD DVD too. Many people are becoming HD consumers with Toshiba's HD DVD players being their first foray into high definition because it's less expensive than the cheapest Blu-ray player. Remember, the less consumers have to spend on the HD player, the more they can spend on the HD films.
I know many friends and family who have, or plan to buy an HD DVD player. bottom line: Why not make more money, and make people happy?, thanks for your time!
I used to buy 2 - 4 new DVD's a week until I went HD. Now I only buy HD DVD's. I would like to have Disney HD's to add to my collection. Please support HD DVD.
