The critics agree that most HD DVD movies look better than Blu-ray movies. Thus, I have bought an HD DVD player and will not buy the rip-off Blu-Ray players.
Studios who don't support HD DVD will just lose sales. I am a huge fan of movies and HD. I normally buy at least one DVD per week. I like Disney, but if you do not support HD DVD, then I will not buy your movies. I'm sure millions of people feel the same.
Disney I urge you to start supporting HD DVD.
Many people are buying this format because of It being more affordable via the xbox 360 and will continue to cost lower for the advadge family this year. We want HD movies on HD DVD thank you.
Please produce your films on HD DVD. I support HD DVD only! And so do the majority of high-def enthusiasts. Don't get left behind by supporting Blu-ray.
As a father of 4, I very much want Disney to be a part of my childrens lives. But at the same time I dont want to spend 2x the amount money to get into the "HD Generation." I believe HD DVD is better priced, better quality(reviews I've read) and just more recognizable by the main consumer. I purchased an HD DVD player and will stick with it whether It has the movies I want or not. I'd rather buy a standard Disney DVD movie for the kids than buy a very expensive BluRay player.
As an employee of a major Canadian electronics retailer, I myself have switched over from the Blu-ray camp to HD-DVD. You should have another look at it Disney!!
I support all HD-DVD releases. Blu-Ray has yet to impress me with their lack of extras and special features. Not only to mention that HD-DVD discs are much more family friendly since Blu-Ray information resides much closer to the surface. With a majority of familys scratching their discs it seems like a strategic move by companies like yours to get consumers to keep buying discs. So your company is on the boycott list until further clarification on why you won't support HD-DVD. Let the consumers decide, not the manufacturers.

THANK YOU!
Pixar movies are some of my favorites but I purchased a HD-DVD player for my 360 because of the features, cost and general BETTER reviews. I will no longer support Disney owned movies until they agree to let the consumers CHOOSE THEIR FORMAT. There are many loyal HD-DVD owners who feel the same. If you decide to make them I will buy the entire collection, as many others will too!
I suggest waking up and pleasing the people who want your product and want to buy from you.
I for one will boycott your products (normal DVDs) until I see HD DVDs from you
Movies are not something that people can just buy again if the format changes. Exclusives only divide films fans and make collections harder to maintain, or impossible.
I own a HD-DVD I believe that it is a true consumer product. Blue-Ray, expensive and Sony will keep the cost up as long at they can thus discouraging the delivery of your movies to the market. As a studio surely you must see that you are going to pay a high royalty cost for production on Sony's blue ray platform. HD-DVD platform appears to be more stable and comes to you at a lower cost, with the necessary copy protection, thus increasing your profits. Simply economics.
Please Disney, support HD-DVD. HD-DVD players are selling much much better then Blu Ray players. HD-DVD players are way more cheaper then Blu Ray players. We love you movies and would wish that you support HD-DVD. Please think about it.
I nor anyone I know will be supporting Beta-Ray.
We will ONLY buy HD-DVD and then ONLY once the price of the players comes down and movies are under $20.00 Canadian.
Keep in mind that I will never purchase a Disney film if you don't release on HD-DVD. There is simply too much consumer support for this particular format.
As a retail manager who sells both technologies, I see Blu-ray as going the same way that Betamax and UMD (for the PSP) went - great ideas, but will lose out to a more consumer friendly model or just disappear altogether as the fan base loses interest. HD-DVD is the better decision for the long run.
HD-DVD has the better price and better video transfer. Disney needs to support this if they ever want to make more money in the next-gen video department.
HD-DVD is more affordable for the masses. Sony is notorious for mishandling proprietary formats (MiniDisc, UMD, BetaMax, etc..) Why alienate a larger base of potential consumers?
You know it makes sense. HD DVD is the far better product and as a consumer I deserve to be able to purchase products for my chosen format and not one chosen for me.
MUCH LOWER HARDWARE, VERY CHEAP XBOX 360 (AND PC COMPATIBLE) DRIVE, LOTS OF MAJOR AND INDEPENDANT STUDIO SUPPORT , 10-1 SOFTWARE SALES RATIO, THE NAMES "HD" AND MOST IMPORTANTLY "DVD" AS A BRAND! HD DVD CANT LOSE! AND ILL BET YOU DISNEY WILL BE ON BOARD VERY SOON TOO IF THEY ARE NOT STUPID!... HD DDVD WILL WIN BECAUSE OF 1- PRICE, 2- QUALITY, 3- CONTENT (WITH OR WITHOUT MGM AND SONY PICTURES FILMS!) AND 4- HOME COMPUTER SUPPORT (MS AND NOW HP) AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE BRAND NAMES "HD" AND "DVD"- WHAT DO EVERYONE TALK ABOUT AT THE MOMENT?!...
I like you Disney...but I won't buy a single high def DVD, standard-def DVD or an iTunes download until you release stuff on HD-DVD.
Believe me...I buy a LOT of Disney movies, so you are really missing out. I'm even a part of the Disney Movie Club!
