Dont cancel the show... FINALLY there is a great Irish show... This is so much like the Boondock Saints, and i love this show like no other... DONT CANCEL!
DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW. THIS WOULD BE A GOOD FILL SINCE THE SOPRANOS IS IN IT'S FINAL SEASON. ALSO THIS WOULD BE GOOD SINCE BROTHERHOOD IS STILL FILMING. EVERYTIME NBC GETS PEOPLE WATCHING A GOOD CRIME DRAMA OUTSIDE OF LAW AND ORDER THEY GET RID OF IT. LAW AND ORDER IS STILL A GOOD SHOW BUT GIVE THIS SHOW A SECOND SEASON AND TRUST YOU WILL MAKE BANK OFF OF IT. YOU GOT RID OF THE SHORT SERIES THAT WAS BASED OFF OF A COLUMBIAN DRUG LORD (TRAFFIC I THINK). DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
SAVE THIS SHOW! I will NEVER watch NBC again if TBD gets cancelled. I have been in love with it since the first episode. I am HOOKED and if it is cancelled now, I will be so upset. It is such a great show. the characters are amazing, the story is compelling, and the quality of the video and script are incredible.
This show is so awesome! I only watch three shows and this one is one of them. I am dying to know how the story progresses. There is way too much reality TV anyways. It's inane and boring and I can't believe they would get rid of such a creative, well written show that actually takes talent to make!
If NBC is ignorant enough to cancel this show, well may the Donnelly brothers haunt you for the rest of your piss-poor programming lives! HBO would be smart to pick it up. They know how to market great, original programming.
Man they are making a mistake!!! TBD is one of my favorite shows one of the few that I actually watch religously... Its not my favorite show buts its in the top two!!
Give The Black Donnelly's a chance! The storyline is compelling, interesting and captivating, as are the characters. Don't make the same mistake with this as was made with Kidnapped! PLEASE keep The Black Donelly's going!
I heard about this show through a friend, and at first was reluctant to watch another attempt at another bad series... but was I ever proved wrong. I'm so glad that I ended up watching the pilot because I was immediately hooked. Even though the storyline was intense for a pilot, it made those watching seem like they were really talking a look into the lives of these characters. I greatly enjoyed that aspect of the show. There are many wonderful facets to the show, the writing and the acting among the more prominent of them.
I hope that this show is not cancelled because it is very clever and amusing in a period of time when most of television is ridden with these trashy reality shows. This is one of the few shows that I will take time out of my busy schedule to watch, and I hope that NBC doesn't disappoint what contingent this show has gained by cancelling something with so much potential.
PLEASE SAVE THE BLACK DONNELLYS!! THE ONLY THINGS WORTH WATCHING ON NBC IS THE BLACK DONNELLYS, HEROES, AND THE OFFICE. EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS A**. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER SHOWS ON NBC THAT SHOULD BE CANCELLED INSTEAD OF BLACK DONNELLYS- LIKE STUDIO 64, AND PLEASE WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE STUPID A** REALITY SHOWS EITHER(I WISH ALL THOSE BRAINLESS REALITY SHOWS ON ALL NETWORKS WOULD END).
Let's see what we have here. Smart, interesting story lines. Fastpaced, true to life, dialogue.
Wonderful cast of talented actors who are quite believable not to mention the younger cast members who will be box office boffos and bring in alot of money for studios as well as networks as they become more recognized.
The problem seems to be instant gratificaton for the network not the enjoyment the audience gets from one lousy hour a week of being put in the world of the Black Donnellys. It's been 37 years since I ran the streets of New York as a kid. Do you, NBC, have any idea how much fun it has been to live the life of a gritty city kid? Do you think I have the time or inclination to go back. He**, I did exactly what those boys are trying to do, get out!
Boy it's fun to go back by way of a 25" screen.
Besides, Kate Mulgrew is like seeing my mother risen from the dead.
NBC, what are you thinking? The Black Donnellys brought me back to you, NBC. If you take away my boys, I am afraid there will be no reason for me to watch anything on your network. And for the love of God, please, NO MORE REALITY SHOWS! The Black Donnellys is wonderfully entertaining and complex. Why trash something so amazing? Please, please, PLEASE keep this show on the air.
The Black Donnellys is the best new show on T.V. Please do not cancel it. There needs to be something more than "Reality TV" and horrible game shows for viewers. Even if it's not on TV, I would be willing to download the episodes of iTunes or watch them online.
In a day where 90% of television is mindless, inane programming doing nothing but perpetuating the dumbing down of America, The Black Donnellys is one of the few quality, stimulating programs available. Please, NBC, do a favor for those of your viewers who actually enjoy using their brain and keep The Black Donnellys on the air. If you choose to cancel The Black Donnellys, I will have no reason to continue watching NBC Primetime, and will therefore turn to other networks when looking for television entertainment.
The Black Donnely's is one of the best shows on network tv, if NBC wants any chance of competing with other networks then they need to keep this show. NBC only has a few hit shows and a bunch a crap reality shows that burn out in a year or two. The Black Donnelly's deserves a shot to prove itself, it will find it's audience, it just need time
PLEASE don't cancel! I am SO sick off all the shows that are the same old thing; crime dramas, medical shows, psychics, barfy dramas...C'MON! TBD is the closest thing to Sopranos or other great mob-type show/movie. It's well written, gritty and all the actors are perfect in their roles! If the Donnelleys is saved then NBC will have my two fave shows- TBD and Heroes! Please SAVe the show!!!
You cant cancel this show!!! This is the best show on tv and the only show i ever watch on NBC. I have turned many people at work on to TBD. I will boycott NBC for this and will ask them to do the same.

DON'T CANCEL THE BLACK DONNELLYS! I've watched every episode and bought the season on itunes. I mean what the hell? A reality show? What a new orginal idea so unlike anything else we see on television. Now I would rather be watching the Black Donnellys (orginal) then be watching so reality crap. IF NBC cancels this show then I will never watch NBC again!
NBC, what are you thinking? TBD is doing great in the ratings. It's doing better then Supernatural which is looking at a third season. I can say honestly if you cut this show I will never watch NBC again and I'm sure others will follow me in that. The Black Donnellys is the only time I ever watch NBC and if you kill it then oh well back to cable for me!
Please do not cancel the Black Donnellys. The show is something different than what is currently on tv. I don't think I would watch NBC if they cancel. I tell everyone standing still that they have to watch this show. Please give it a chance! Advertise it more!
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!! Please do not cancel this show!! I have always been a HUGE NBC fan... I have started to slide towards ABC the past couple of years, but with shows like Heroes and now The Black Donnelly's, I am back! This show is just amazing... Yes, it's a little gritty and maybe a little shocking at times, but this has kept my interest and I love the narrative from Joey - that just adds to the whole show! And of course, it doesn't hurt that Jonathan Tucker is SOO easy on the eye! :)
You CANNOT cancel this show....this is the ONLY series that I've been into... EVER. Don't be dumb this is a killer show and people need to see it. SAVE THE BLACK DONNELLYS!!!!!
THis show is amazing and I for one am sick of the idiotic "reality' crap network tv keeps putting out. It was great to see a great scripted show that's compelling and synamic be put out. If NBC cancels this The Black Donelley's I sill no longer support the network.
I was truley surprised when I heard NBC was cancelling this show. It is well written, well acted and is the only show I watch on NBC. C'mon NBC, get with it. 8 episodes is simply not enough, give it a chance!
