This is nuts. How are shows suppose to survive and thrive when they get cancelled 5 minutes after they start? I'm thinking I need to stick with CBS, since they are the only ones who seem to like to put on quality dramas and KEEP them. Stop killing shows before they even get started!
They said in the Sunday paper that it was stuggling with ratings because it was up against CSI:Miami....and I cant stand David Caruso. Finally, a network show I looked forward to every week, and it gets the boot. At least find another time slot for it!!!
I'll admit that I haven't really watched that much of NBC besides a few shows on Thursday and Heroes. When I heard that The Black Donnelly's was being cancelled I literally did a double take. Really? This show is really being cancelled? I guess it should be obvious now. NBC wouldn't know great programming if it came up and hit them over a head with a 2-ton hammer. At one point NBC actually used to support quality programming. Now? Well I guess we can look forward to Howie Mandel and The Real Life Wedding Crashers...Boy what a dark day in history. Don't cancel it.
I can't believe this show is being added to the "Brilliant but Cancelled" list. Not since "Ez Streets" has a network television show surpassed the quality of PayTV programming. I'm a huge fan of the "Sopranos", "Rome" and "Deadwood" but I can cleary say that my favorite television show is "The Black Donnellys". I simply can not comprehend how this amazing work of art is being thrown away. I sincerely hope that if NBC do not budge, Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco find a way to give this show the run it rightfully deserves on a different network. If you two ever read this, please, for the love of your many fans, find a way.
OMG they can't cancel this show!!!!! It's the best thing that has happened to televison since Grey's Anatomy!
It totally deserves a second chance!!! Pleaaaaaaaaase!!!!!!!!
I am kinda wishing that NBC would just throw in the towel and go out of business. If they would have done this a year ago then all the good shows they cancelled since the fall line-up might have had a chance on a network that is not trying to get that 'one' show that is going to save them. NBC quit getting us excited with new good shows to only cancel them 5 weeks later! Just lie down and RIP you had a good turn in the broadcasting world, give the new shows a chance to survive (ie on a channel that can support and promote an entire season of a new series).
Didn't the same thing almost happen with The Office. Can you imagine what would have happened if it was canceled in the first season. Give it a chance or you'll regret it.
this is one of the best shows nobody is watching. better advertising would help. i'm not a big tv fan, but i make sure to see this every monday. making a BIG mistake if you pull this.
This show didn't get a fair chance. It did well when it had the lead in of Heroes and then Heroes went on break it didn't have a chance. they should have atleast tried a another time slot or moved it up to heroes time slot for people that tuned in by habbit. This was the one show that I actually looked forward to every week, and by far the best drama on NBC.
Why in the world would you take this off the year. It is the best show on tv right now. If you take it off the air i hope some other company picks it up and you go bankrupt because you took it off.
Why?!?! NBC, simply does not realize that people are in a time conflict it is aired on a Monday at 10 when the adult crowd is already sleeping for work in the morning. A suggestion to boost ratings is to have it on at 9pm Sundays where Sopranos would normally be and have a new crime family on television. People like crime families and everyone will fall in love with the Donnelly's
Please! do not take this show off the air its so good, its the only thing on NBC worth watching, if this goes off the air, then NBC has lost me and thousands and probably millions of others as well.
if you want to appeal to the reality TV fans in this country, don't tease the rest of the population with a good show... quitting on this show sucks... please dont do it.
this show is awesome, no need to kill it, if the ratings aren't high enough its because they aren't advertising it enough, more commercials are needed to let people see this show just like the soprano's had a lot of commercials, don't let them take it off the air this show is way too good i find it even better than the soprano's, its a lot more realistic and exciting.
This is the best mob show since The Sopranos. This a great show stuck with a bad tv slot and channel. Put it on FOX in prime time and you've got yourself TV's new #1 drama.
Had high hopes for this after the pilot and its great ending, but after only five episodes NBC thinks it isn't worth it. I hope they sell it or fan-outcry like with family guy brings it back.
