OMG WHAT HAPPENED!! THAT WAS THE ONLY GOOD RADIO STATION!! NOW WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO CRAP LOVE MUSIC! THEY SHOULD HAVE KEPT DRIVE 105. I NEED DRIVE 105, THEY HAD WONDERFUL MUSIC!! THEY ARE THE ONLY RADIO STATION PLAYING GOOD MUSIC AND NOW ITS GONE FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. AND IF IT WAS JUST BECAUSE THE RATINGS WERE LOWER, THEY'RE GOING TO GET 500 X'S WORSE WITH LOVE MUSIC PLAYING. UGH IM SO DISGUSTED. BRING DRIVE 105 BACK!!!
This is a format that still has a lot of life. There are plenty of past, current, and emerging artists that can keep the format thriving for years. You changed formats with a crappy soul station a few years ago, and that failed. Don't make the same mistake twice, PLEASE BRING BACK DRIVE 105!!!
Bring back Drive 105, everyone I know listened to that station. I have no idea how they didn't have listeners because they cornered the 16-35 year old market!!!
I'm sorry, the new broadcast is not the same at all. I moved down to the area loving the fact that there was ACTUALLY AN ALTERNATIVE STATION!!! Don't make this like every other place in Minnesota where there's only Country, Classic Rock and a small number of Classical stations.
Drive 105 was the only good things the TC had to offer on the radio. Cities 97 and The Current are nothing compared to DRIVE 105 when it comes to Alternative Rock. SERIOUSLY, who were the idiots that thought LOVE 105 was the better option?!?!?
Love 105 is crap. I miss the alternative station. Now I have nothing to listen to on the radio. In order to relieve my boredom as I drive, I have found my self on the phone. So the removal of drive 105 could be very dangerous to the general public. Put it back on the air because it will save lives.
The radio stations of the Twin Cities should reflect the demographics. The Twin Cities is a hip, young, alternative population. It does NOT need (nor should it support) another generic soft-rock station more appropriately aimed toward the rural and older populations of Minnesota. Drive 105 gave alternative music fans an opportunity to share and express themselves through their music choices. It gave us something to look forward to as opposed to the same main-stream music many other Twin Cities stations plaly. This is my plea to bring back Drive 105 as soon as possible!
When I first heard that Drive105 was switching to Love105, playing love songs and the like, I was actually kind of excited for it. I was thinking maybe they would take possibly alternative or indie love songs. But then I switched on the radio and I heard the old love songs playing. Don't get me wrong, I like old love songs. But the fact of the matter is that Ive heard all of those songs before. Drive105 would expose new, breaking out bands. By playing these new bands on the radio, it helped the artist's popularity and possibly even sell records. Before when I listened to Drive, I would turn it on and love every single song they played. On Love105 though, I've heard only one song out of listening to it for 4 days that I somewhat liked that I haven't heard before. So many people are unhappy about this switch, so I think that you, ABC Radio, should really contemplate how smart this switch is.
Drive 105 is my favorite station! It was just perfect; it was a cross between the sometimes out-there music on the Current, the sometimes too mellow music of Cities 97, and the hardrock of 93X. I want it back! We already have Lite 102.9 and Kool 108, Love 105 is just unnecessary.
Drive 105 was the best alternative station I've ever heard in the many places I lived across the US. The format change is a horrible loss for the market and I find it very hard to believe a moneymaker in a market already brimming w/
Drive105 was a great station and one of the only ones I listened to. Imagine my shock when I heard Love105...please, for the sake of everyone, bring it back!!
Bring back drive 105! Love105 is an abomination to radio. We have plenty of love songs on already. Where are we supposed to get our alternative music from?
Drive105 was the greatest radio station on the air. Love105 is crap. Drive105 was great for me and other people on the local scene. Homegrown was such a great idea and the DJs were the greatest. Drive105 played some the best music and was the only good alternative station.
