We the people of the United States of America believe that the prescription drug commercials on television are damaging to the minds of the viewing public and unnecessary as a part of the programing schedule of what should be first educational, second informative and third entertaining. We believe that if people need some form of pharmaceutical relief for a physical ailment they will meet with their physician to discuss options.

We also believe that the commercials aired by the drug companies have no truth in their advertising and speak only to a false state of euphoria presented by the content of the commercial that is sub consciously picked up by the viewer and particularly by children. This leads to a desire for that state which is then mentally transfered to the taking of these drugs.

We want all drug commercials removed, and by signing this petition we are stating that we will not watch television that advertises prescription drugs!
