I agree with all the above arguments and feel that it is not fair that they
can not come over to see their partners in their country (they are
prisoners in there own country!). I want him to see where I live and if he
could handle the western world - its all part of getting to know one
another and if the relation- ship can go further, surely this a sensilbe
route in anyone eyes!? |

It is wrong how these men are treated and totaly against all basic human
rights. As british citizens we are being denied or freedom of choice and
being punished because of the nationality of the man we fall in love with. |

Last year my husband and I were refused a visit visa so I returned to the
uk and gave birth to my son without Bahri. Whilst there my mother had a
stroke and had brain surgery... care is still required now for my mum. But
I was put in a situation where I had to choose my parents or my husband.
This year I am applying again for settlement this timeI just hope the Entry
Clearance Officer does not make me choose again between my sick parents and
my family. |

While I appreciate the need to prevent marriages of convenience, a great
deal more sensitivity needs to be applied to genuine cases so that they can
be appropriately identified and treated with due respect. |
