I support this petition. The petition should ask specifically that all national governments institute the teaching of Esperanto in elementary schools as the first second language for children. Money saved from interpretation and translation costs should be put into a fund to provide subsidies to national governments who implement this program. There should be a definite plan for gradually shifting over to the use of Esperanto at the U.N. itself. Ralph Harry, former Australian Ambassador to the U.N. has worked out and described in detail a plan for doing this.
I strongly support this petition.
Se Esperanto farigxos oficiale aprobita, internacia lingvo, ankaux la aliaj, etnaj lingvoj estos pli lernataj ol gxis nun. Krome E-o estas la unusola garantio konservi la naciajn kulturojn.
The world is in dire need of a COMMON, EASY, NEUTRAL and SECOND language for all citizens! I have absolutely nothing against Chinese or English, but it is obvious that they are unsuitable as "International" or "World" languages.
An officially endorsed international language is necessary. Nations cannot unite if people are isolated.
Oficiale apogita lingvo necesas. Nacioj ne povas unuighi se homoj estas izolitaj.
