I support this petition. Common sense would dictate that no Bronco was in the vicinity of the fumble, and the Bronco's QB was pursuing the fumble (he clearly did not stop play at the whistle), so why not "violate" the rule and award the ball to the Chargers? Ridiculous.
I don't support this petition. - You're an idiot if you support this petition. Ed is a good ref who had one terrible game. The Chargers Defense still allowed 39 points.
I support this petition. What really gets me is on the news everyone seems to only talk about the last call made which obviously had a huge impact but an even bigger problem was the first call when mysteriously the equipment was not working for review of the play but had no problem working when the Broncos needed a play reviewed. This is such a joke considering that everyone at home and upstairs was continually watching the replay and could see for a fact that our man touched down before the Broncos ripped the ball out of his hands. It's just like politics someone obviously has their hands in his pockets. It would be one thing if it was just one bad call but it was two majorly bad calls which I think everyone would agree without a doubt cost us the game. There is no doubt we would have won had these calls been made correctly. Way too much power in the hands of these refs; why isn't there an appeals boards to be able to review these types of issues and decide what is truely fair.
I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PETITION. One bad call does not overule years and years of excellent service. Once he reviewed and admitted the missed call, he handled it exactly as it should have been handled by the rules.
I support this petition. I LOST RESPECT FOR THAT ROGER GOODELL WHO DOESN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. ED HOCHULI YOU ARE PLAYING WITH THE MAFIA OR NFL IS FIXED. YOU HAVE COST US A POTENTIAL TIE BREAKER/PLAYOFF HUNT. YOU ARE A BAD REF AND I HOPE SOMETHING POSITIVE WILL COME OUT OF THIS FOR THE CHARGERS. I WILL FOREVER CURSED THIS AHOLE.
I support this petition. The rules indicate he made the right decision based on his error. The NFL should allow a referee to go back and correct an error, as it stands now this will not happen because they are out to protect their skirt wearing QB's (therefore the quick whistle). FYI- NFL referees currently earn between $42,295 and $120,998 per season. It was a terrible call late in the game; however it was human error, the league should recognize this error and correct the process.
I support this petition. This was the worst officiated game. From technical difficulties to accidental whistles... people need to be held accountable for their mistakes.
