I support this petition. And I WILL NOT buy ANY new car till a full electric car is mass produced!!!!
Until then, not another dollar to the auto industry!!!
There needs to be a change on our environment and economy, that change is the electric car. With new technology I believe that the electric cars would be even more advanced today. Unfortunaltely the electric car idea threatens our economy in the government eyes. We need to bring back the electric car to help global warming and the outrageous gas prices.
We need the electric car! I didn't know about them until I saw Who Killed The Electric Car. I would buy one in the future to break our addiction to oil.
The electric car is not the solution of the future, it is the solution of the past and the present. EV's will play a huge role in saving us from global warming. Hydrogen fuel cell cars are a nice thought, but are to expensive and require more energy to run when compared to EV's. Why look for another alternative when the right one has been staring us right in the eyes for years?
Hummers are anti-personnel vehicles posing as cars. 1 million Iraqis would be alive today if their country had not been cursed with the 'gift' of oil.The real big challenge would be to get enough power to charge the electric cars .
the problem is many places in US are doing great without problems. They don't care about people who do and news media forgets about it all. Control means power and often democrats don't care
I drive an electric vehicle (an electric Kawasaki capable of 80MPH) about 4 days each week. This has proven to me that the Toyota (RAV4-EV), GM (EV1), Honda (EVPlus) and Nissan (Altra EV) are capable of building very useful Electric Vehicles. However the US policy makers must encourage these alternatives to oil as they did in California in the late 1990s. We don't need a btter battery, we need US policy to bend to the new will of the average American that clearly wants to reduce our dependence on oil supplied by terrorist countries and does not want environmental damage from oil drilling in our National Parks and polutition from contiued inefficient burning of fosil fuels in cars and trucks. Thanks,Mike BachandColorado
I drive an electric car to work everyday, and my electric car works with golf cart batteries and simple off the shelf parts. It is 100% made in the USA. I replaced the washer pump that was made in the UK with an American after market one. It can go up to 75 miles an hour and can go 50 miles at highway speeds. I am currently paying about a penny per mile for the electricity. In the future I will be powering the vehicle with solar panels off the roof of my house. If I can do this with 20 year old technology what can the major automakers do today?
When I saw that movie, i wanted to do everything to bring that car back.i went to web sites, did reasearch, read, wrote, and even presented to my class. I'm 14 and I want an electric car.
